What is a cam-cam for iPhone 13 ?

A webcam hide for iPhone 13 is a tool that blocks the camera from an iPhone. The iPhone 13 is equipped with a front camera (selfie) and a rear camera. A hide-and-cam for iPhone 13 is necessary to prevent camera hacking. The front camera cover of the iPhone 13 also allows you to secure the front camera between two selfies. According to Forbes, an ethical pirate discovered last spring vulnerabilities which could allow the hacking of iPhone cameras. To prevent someone from being able to observe you on the other side of the camera of your iPhone, the iPhone 13 shell with Cache-caméra blocks the front and rear cameras of your iPhone. The lids of the front and rear cameras of the iPhone 13 open easily by sliding to access the camera. With this case, you decide when your camera is ready to be used. When you have finished using the camera, slide the lid to turn off the lights on the potential pirates of the camera.

Why an ordinary camera cover does not work on the iPhone 13 ?

An ordinary webcam hide is not enough for two reasons. First, standard camera caches are designed horizontally. However, the iPhone 13 has a different orientation for the camera. A classic webcam hide would block other iPhone sensors. This would hinder functionality, by preventing for example the use of the flashlight. On the front of your iPhone, a webcam hide would block Face ID. Spy-Fy has designed the confidentiality shell for iPhone 13 with Cache-caméra taking into account the functionality so that you can use your iPhone as you have always done.

Can I always take selfies and use Face ID with the IPhone 13 Privacy Case ?

Selfie’s addicts do not have to fear; The Iphone 13 Camera Camera Camera slides to allow easy access to the camera. Likewise, Face ID is only a movement. Functionality and fashion go hand in hand with this confidentiality shell.

Does the rear hide and back of the iPhone 13 block the flashlight ?

Why are the materials used in this case important ?

The confidentiality shell with Cache-Caméra for iPhone 13 has advanced technology to protect your iPhone. Air cushion technology can absorb shocks. The frame on board and the honeycomb structure prevent scratches and damage. Together, these characteristics offer military level protection.

Use an iPhone as a web camera on a mac

With the continuity camera, you can use your iPhone as a web or micro mac camera and take advantage of the powerful iPhone camera and other video effects. You can make a wireless connection or use a USB cable for a wired connection.

Before you start

Before you can use the continuity camera functionality, you must proceed as follows:

  • Make sure your Mac works under the latest version of MacOS Ventura and that your iPhone works under the last versions of iOS 16.
  • Connect your two devices to the same Apple identifier.
  • Activate the Wi-fi and Bluetooth on both devices.
  • Make sure your devices meet the system requirements. Consult the article Configuration System required for continuity features on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch of Apple Assistance.
  • Prepare your iPhone. Consult the Apple Continuity Camera Assistance item: Use the iPhone as a web camera for Mac to get more information to prepare your iPhone.

Use an iPhone as a web or micro camera

  1. On your Mac, open any application with access to the camera or to the microphone, like FaceTime or Photo Booth.
  2. In settings or the menu bar, choose your iPhone as a photo or micro camera. The continuity app opens on your iPhone and begins to capture audio or video using the rear camera.

Noticed : To use your iPhone as a microphone on an integrated Mac without an integrated camera, the iPhone must be in landscape orientation, fixed and locked.

  • Put the video or audio in break: On your iPhone, touch a break or slide up to unlock it.
  • Resume video or audio: On your iPhone, press Return or touch the side or standby/reactivation button to lock it.
  • Stop using your iPhone as a web or micro camera: Leave the app on your mac.
  • Delete your iPhone optional: On your iPhone, touch offset. Your iPhone is removed from the lists of cameras and micro apps, and also from the list of audio inputs in sound settings. To add your iPhone, connect it to your Mac with a USB cable.

If you need to recharge your iPhone while the continuity camera is on, use a USB cable for best results.

Automatically switch to the iPhone camera

Your Mac can automatically move on to use the iPhone as a camera for some Mac apps, such as FaceTime and Photobooth. For this, your iPhone must:

  • Be close to your mac
  • Have a locked screen
  • Be in landscape orientation
  • Having your rear cameras (s) in front of you without obstacles
  • Do not be in a pocket or flat on a desk
  • Be stationary

If you have already used your iPhone as a web camera on your Mac, it may also be saved as a favorite camera on other Mac apps.

Set your iPhone as a default microphone

You can adjust your iPhone as a default microphone for your Mac.

On your Mac, choose the Apple menu

> System settings, then click SOUND in the sidebar. (You may have to scroll down). Open Sound settings

  • Select your iPhone from the list of audio input devices. The continuity application opens on your iPhone and starts to capture the audio.
  • Activate office view and video effects

When you use your iPhone as a Mac web camera, you can use the control center to add video effects. For example, view from the office a view from top to bottom of your office and your face at the same time, and studio lighting reduces the background and illuminates your face.

If you don’t see your iPhone in camera or micro options

If you do not see your iPhone in the list of microphones or cameras in an app or in sound settings, try the following solutions.

    1. Connect it to your Mac with a USB cable and check again. (If it is already connected with a cable, disconnect it, then reconnect it.))
    2. Check the following points:
      • Your iPhone is an iPhone XR or more recent.
      • Your iPhone works under the latest version of iOS 16.
      • Your Mac works under the latest version of MacOS Ventura.
      • The continuity camera is activated on your iPhone in Settings> General> Airplay and Handoff.
      • Your iPhone recognizes the Mac as a trusted computer. Consult the Apple assistance article about the “Trust this computer” alert on your iPhone or iPad.
      • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and two factors are activated on your iPhone and Mac.
      • Your iPhone and Mac are connected with the same Apple identifier. (This function does not work with the Apple managed identifiers.))
      • Your iPhone and Mac are 9 meters away from each other.
      • Your iPhone does not share its cellular connection, and your Mac does not share its Internet connection.
      • The video app of your choice is up to date.

Noticed : If your Mac is not equipped with an integrated camera, your iPhone must meet all the conditions to automatically switch to the iPhone camera in order to appear as a camera.

You can also use the continuity camera to scan documents or take a photo of something nearby and make it appear instantly on your Mac. See insert photos and scanned documents with the continuity camera.
