Above all, I have a great responsibility in this misadventure.
Boredom pushes me to consumption, and when I am looking for a purchase, I am rather impatient in nature. This impatience has just turned against me. It’s true, it will teach me.

I had the opportunity a few months ago to try an electric scooter (the name is seriously too childish, just like design, and you feel a little stupid when you are short of juice and that you have to “skate”, finally for my part), and the fact of being able to advance I liked it, so I wanted. I told myself that it would be useful to me to fight against the proliferation of paid parking lots and for the times exceptional where I may need to move faster.

So I did my research on various sites but Leboncoin often offers the best potential quality/price ratio compared to other sites. With a first budget of 120 euros, I realized that it was too low so I decided to raise my budget at 200 euros.

I ended up finding one at this price, a mooovway S11. In the photos there was a basket and a crutch. The announcement specified 22 km-long distance. So I opted for this model, especially since the scooter can cost 350 euros new, while it was offered here at 200 euros.

Once there, I notice that the basket is pierced, that it is more bulky than what I expected, that we can not see anything on the command screen, but I am impatient, I have I Not always adequate attitudes, so I choose to take it despite all the potential defects. The seller claims that in the event of concern I can bring it back.

I come back home, and I take the time to test it. Between the rain, my personal life, the professional obligations, I did not have much time to use it until these last three days, where I discover that instead of the 22 km announced, I do 8 , maximum, that is to say, when I’m lucky ! Or 4 go, 4 back. So that has nothing to do.

The state of the roadway, the frequency of stops and braking, my build, inevitably influence autonomy, but go from 22 to 8 km (maximum, if not, it’s around 4km500), it’s incomprehensible and that has nothing to do with what was described in the ad !
I recalled the seller to offer to take it back (since he had offered it to me), which he obviously refused, contrary to what he had proposed. He found stories and pretexts not to keep his commitments. I prefer to drop but this lesson will have cost me 200 euros.
I did not expect to be cheated in this way.

I have a lot of wrong in history: my impatience, my haste, the fact of not being able to test it properly from the start, to have chosen this platform etc. But I chose this platform because my electric bike is now 4 years old, had been bought on this same site and still works at the top !

So some tips that I will try to put into practice:

– Never buy on Leboncoin again
– As much as possible, avoid impatience and precipitation
– Do not believe what we are told (I didn’t really believe the seller when he said “you don’t worry you can bring her back! But when it comes to bringing her back and he refuses it when it was himself who had proposed, it is problematic. )).
