Lucid Motors set up for good in Europe. For the occasion, the electric car manufacturer announces the specificities and prices of the Lucid Air Dream Edition, its first model to be put into circulation on the old continent. These are actually two versions called Dream Edition that will be marketed, with the Dream Edition P (for performance) and the Dream Edition R (for Range).

If the first favors power with 1,111 hp under its hood and a 0 to 100 km/h shot in 2.7 seconds, the second bet on the autonomy. Lucid announces that this air Dream Edition R will be able to travel around 900 kilometers in one load. Based on a 924V architecture, the electric sedan should be able to enjoy a very fast recharging on certain terminals.

The number of models available may be very low in Europe however.

Even though he is based in California, in the United States, Lucid Motors limited these two air Dream Edition to 520 copies in the country of Uncle Sam.

The cars produced for Europe will therefore be reserved for buyers who have carried out a pre-order, in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway or even in Switzerland.

A very high price for these high -end versions

In Germany, the Lucid Air Dream Edition will be sold from € 218,000. The first deliveries must take place by the end of 2022.

The less opulent versions of the Lucid Air – called Pure, Touring and Grand Touring – will be marketed later, with a starting price set around € 100,000.

Note that Lucid Motors also opens its first concession in Europe. Called Lucid Studio, it is located on the Odeonsplatz in Munich, Germany in Germany.

Other concessions should open elsewhere in Germany, but also in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Norway.

The Lucid Air Pure RWD at 82,000 euros

The electric sedan had already benefited from a reduction of $ 7,500 last month, while the Model 3 of Tesla saw its price decrease by 13,000 euros. This time, it is the propulsion version of the Lucid Air, called the pure air which is concerned.

$ 95,000 for the Tesla Model S Great Autonomy

With its 88 kWh battery, 435 horsepower delivered and an autonomy of 653 kilometers – as much as the Tesla Model S Great autonomy – it starts at a price of $ 87,400, or 82,000 euros, for the Pure RWD model.

The Lucid Air AWD is displayed at a price of $ 92,900, which remains below the high autonomy model ($ 94,990 in the United States). The arrival in France of the sedan is however not expected for several months, although a model was seen a few days ago at the foot of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Surmounted by a Lidar sensor, no doubt has been tested and presented autonomous driving in front of European elected officials.

The entry -level of the Lucid Air arrives in Europe

Electric car manufacturer Lucid Motors is trying to reduce its prices, especially in Europe. To achieve this, he now offers two new versions of air, his electric sedan wanting Tesla rival.

These are called Air Pure AWD, and Air Touring. The first, already announced in the United States, wants to be a new entry-level. It has a smaller battery, displaying a capacity of 88 kWh. Thanks to this, it however displays an autonomy of 725 kilometers, in the WLTP approval cycle.

Its engine power is 353 kW, or 474 horsepower. Thanks to these more modest characteristics, it can display a five -digit rate in Norway, at 96,360 euros. Indeed, these two models arrive in Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and Switzerland. It is in Norway that prices are the lowest. In Germany, where prices are closer to those displayed in France, it is worth 109,000 euros.

In the Netherlands, the Lucid Air Pure AWD costs 115,000 euros, while it appears at 128,630 euros in Switzerland. The Touring, for its part, displays a power of 456 kW, or 61 horsepower, and the price is affected. It nevertheless embeds the same battery as the pure awd.

In Norway, where prices are also the lowest, she arrives in the catalog at 109,800 euros. In Germany, Lucid posters it at 129,000 euros, while its price in the Netherlands is 134,000 euros. Again, it is in Switzerland that she is the most expensive, at almost 150,000 euros.

A “small” 92 kWh battery

These are the first finishes to use the 88 kWh battery, since the Dream Edition versions, Dream Edition Range and Grand Touring all of the 113 kWh battery of capacity.

The load speed is slightly lower on the smaller pack, with 250 kW of power. On the 113 kWh battery, Lucid Motors announces up to 300 kW of charging power.

On the other hand, the small battery offers more room, with a floor lower 8 centimeters at the rear. Passengers gain in place for the legs and in comfort, according to the manufacturer.

Finally, Lucid Motors plans a new entry -level version for next year. The Lucid Air Pure Propulsion will indeed arrive in 2024, but there is still no detail about it.
