Which luxury electric car to choose in LLD ?

All premium models exceed € 400 per month of rent. The most affordable premium model is the entry level of the Audi Q4 e-tron, which defends itself in front of the Y of Tesla model, from € 460 per month. We then find, from € 490 per month, a rental offer with purchase option (LOA) for the Tesla Model 3 Standard, while its equivalent in LLD is presented on the Tesla site at more than € 770 per month. Then come to 515 € per month in LLD, the Volvo models: C40 and XC40, the 100 % electric SUV that we tested.

Some models of premium manufacturers do not display offers in LOA or LLD on their website. Mercedes may have had to deactivate this information. The Mercedes Eqa, in its smallest engine, displays a rental at more than € 1,385 per month for its LOA offer. A particularly surprising positioning for the smallest model of the Mercedes electric range that we have tried.

Buy an electric car in LOA, or rent it in LLD ?

The two formulas, LOA and LLD, may seem quite close. The LOA LOCK Rental with purchase option offers you the possibility of buying your vehicle after your contract. While the LLD, a long -term rental, requires you to return the car to the end date of the contract. In both cases, you have to pay monthly payments to benefit from a vehicle over a fixed period and with maximum mileage to be respected. If the manufacturers communicate more widely using the LLD, it is because they are forced to display a lot of legal information at each tariff communication. The LLD is more readable and easy to understand that the LOA.

What are the disadvantages of the LLD ?

As part of a long -term rental, you must necessarily part with the vehicle at the end of the contract, even if you fell in love with your car and you do not find other exciting offers to replace it. The LLD often offers interviews and repairs included during the rental period. On the other hand, beware of the mileage and the condition of the vehicle: if you make a vehicle with a mileage higher than that of the contract, or if you have damaged your body, this can quickly cost you additional significant penalties.

What are the disadvantages of the LOA ?

The LOA offer allows, as its name suggests, to have the possibility of buying the vehicle you used at the end of its contract. It is a more flexible formula, but which is a bit of a bet at the time of signature on the real value of the vehicle after these few years of use.

The two formulas offer advantages and disadvantages. If you don’t feel like depending on a slightly too rigid contract, the more traditional credit is not to be excluded from the possibilities of financing your new vehicle.
