Livebox 4: Check and activate double-band wifi

If you have not created two separate WiFi networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), only one network appears in the interface.

Livebox 4: Check the WiFi channel

The Livebox 4 automatically manages the WiFi radio channel. You can check that it is well positioned.

Before you start

  • Check that the livebox is on.
  • Turn on your computer.
Access the Livebox WiFi menu
Select the wifi network you want to check the channel

If you have not created two separate WiFi networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), only one network appears in the interface.

Select the radio channel
  • In the field Radio channel, select automatic.
  • Click on the button Save.

If you have created two separate WiFi networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), you can also change the WiFi channel from the second network by clicking on the tab 5GHz up.
By leaving the choice of channel on automatic, you can benefit from intelligent wifi.

Livebox 4: Check and activate double-band wifi

The Livebox 4 emits WiFi on two frequency bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). This allows you to have an optimal wifi connection according to the WiFi standard of your equipment.

Before you start

  • Turn on your computer.
  • Check that the livebox is on.

Access the Livebox WiFi menu

Access the Double-Bande WiFi menu

In category Manage Wi-Fi antennas, click on Wireless.

Check that the two WiFi frequency bands are selected

If one of the two frequencies (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) is not checked, check it then click the button Save.
