While offering some of the innovations of the Cupertino firm, including the powerful A12 Bionic processor and the double SIM functionality, the device has a lower price.

In 2020, the price of these iPhone XRs experienced a drastic drop (after the release of iPhone 11), offering it an even better value for money. It is therefore not a surprise if in our opinion, the iPhone XR still knows such popularity today. Its value for money is to die for, the phone is between 500 and 600 euros for performance up.

In this opinion on the iPhone XR, we make a small summary of the strengths and weaknesses of this new device (especially compared to the other two iPhones released in 2018). This screen has the same protection which, according to Apple, is “the most durable front glass ever designed on a smartphone”. The screen is surrounded by “aerospace” quality aluminum strips of 7000 standard, and the design of the glass back allows you to use wireless charging. Screen size and performance

Of course, the iPhone XR is compatible and has been delivered with iOS 12 – and now iOS 13 since its release in late 2019. Admittedly, the iPhone XR has only one sensor on the back, but it still allows the device to be at the same level as the Google Pixel 3 on the DxOMark classification. According to the opinion of this laboratory, this is one of the best devices to take photos and videos, all at a lower price.

The iPhone XR has a wide-angle lens at f/1.8 megapixel opening, with a quick autofocus. “The pixels, both larger and deeper, improve the fidelity of images and performance in low light conditions for photos and video,” explains the Cupertino firm.

Excellent vintage despite its price

Passed at Android in 2014 for various reasons (SD cards allowing me to store all my music, best camera, more advanced customization, more open system allowing me to c/c movies & music without going through iTunes, etc.), unfortunately I have never managed to appreciate the UX of this bone, whatever the manufacturer, not to mention the multitude of badly optimized SVT apps. It was with the iPhone X that I decided to go back to Apple, finding that Apple had leap a giant forward, however the € 1000 mark to spend was incompatible with my budget. Last September therefore, Apple presents the XR and there I said to myself wait for the tests, because in my opinion he had all the arguments to meet my needs.
