The Apple warranty in the event of a breakdown

In the event of a breakdown due to a dysfunction, and if your iPhone is less than a year old, Apple will normally repair it without cost. Just make an appointment online in an Apple Store near you. Repair an iPhone yourself, how much it costs ?

About original iPhone screens

IPhone screens have been designed, tested and manufactured in accordance with Apple quality and performance standards. This applies in particular to the following elements: intuitive and reactive multi-touch, high light, excellent colors, white balance, and performances for features like True Tone, Night Shift and Haptic Touch.

Importance of entrusting repairs to trained technicians who use Apple original screens

• Lack of multi-touch response on certain parts of the screen
• Degradation of multi-touch performance (tactile controls on screen not detected or perceived in the wrong place, for example)
• Tactile orders perceived unexpectedly during a telephone call
• Screen that does not go out during telephone calls
• Recording accidental touch controls with the palm or on the edges

Brightness and color problems in the screen

• Incorrect operation of the True Tone display

History of parts and repairs

You can also determine if the screen has been replaced. If the repair has been carried out using original Apple spare parts and in accordance with Apple procedures, the mention “original Apple Part” will appear next to the “screen” option.

The “unknown part” message is displayed if the installation of the screen is incomplete, or in the following situations:

• A third party screen has been installed.
• The screen has already been used or installed on another iPhone.
• The screen does not work as expected.

The message “Apple has updated the device information for this iPhone” may also appear. This means that Apple has updated information from the device recorded for this iPhone for service, security analysis, and to improve future products.

These messages do not affect your ability to use your iPhone.

With iOS versions prior to iOS 15.2, the mention “important message concerning the screen” is displayed in place of “unknown part”.
