A priori, Apple customers would tend to stick to the essentials, rather than adopting some of the most unusual colors. However, the launch of iPhone 14/Plus models and 14 pro/max seems to have counterbalanced this trend.

So for most models, the predominant color would be black (or midnight or graphite or sidereal gray), followed by a shade of blue or white. The reintroduction of purple in 2022, after its brief appearance on the iPhone 11 and 12, however changed the situation, some people opting for this more exotic tone, unless it is a tribute to the group of Rock Deep Purple.

A bit of madness for the iPhone 14 ?

Apparently, 42 % of buyers of iPhone 14 pro/pro max would have opted for the dark purple model, while 24 % rushed to gold. Regarding buyers of the iPhone 14/Plus, 27 % opted for blue, 22 % for purple and 14 % for red.

But we notice that The 50 shades of gray would have the coast for the iPhone SE, or even the iPhone 12. But pink would have attracted 23 % of the owners of the iPhone 13/13 Mini !

The opportunity is too tempting to let a small survey pass !

Less than two weeks of their official presentation, the iPhone 14 Pro are talking about them on a Chinese forum that publishes colors photos that could be presented by Apple on this new model.

As would be expected, the indiscretions are more and more numerous when approaching the presentation of the new iPhone 14 by Apple on September 7. Today, these are photos of dummy models of the iPhone 14 Pro pretend to give an overview of the five colors offered.

Two new colors for the iPhone 14 Pro ?

A first photo shows dummy units supposed to represent the future iPhone 14 pro in five colors. The first three are already known since they are already present on the iPhone 13 Pro: silver, gold and graphite. If we believe this Chinese source, the two new colors would be blue and dark purple. We obviously count on Apple to find them more creative denominations. These two colors would replace the alpine and alpine blue green models of the 13 pro.

Another (a lot) closer photo presents these same colors, with the strips on the slices for the network antennas. Their white color means that they particularly come out on gold and purple colors. The source also claims that the coating used will offer shades of different colors. It remains to be seen whether it will depend on the light conditions and/or the same manufacturing process based on metallic ceramic layers used by Apple for alpine blue color.

It would not be the first time that we have seen purple at Apple. Indeed, the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini were entitled to a purple color in the middle of their life cycle in April 2021. A short video of the fake purple model was shared. We see the three camera modules similar to those we know on the 13 pro.
