What is the autonomy of an electric Fiat 500 ? Know everything
The Fiat 500 is the first electric vehicle of the Italian manufacturer. This small city car is one of the best -selling electric cars in Europe. Its dynamic size cut for the city and its legendary design are the source of its success. But what about its autonomy in relation to other electrical models of the same kind ? Discover theAutonomy of an electric Fiat 500.
Summary
Autonomy according to the Fiat 500 model
At the start, this small electric car has a 42 kWh lithium ion battery, which is rather imposing for a city car. The announced autonomy of this accumulator will Up to 320 km in mixed cycle according to WLTP approval, and Up to 460 km in an urban environment. However, with several different bodywork and finishes, autonomy can vary depending on the version offered.

What is the real autonomy of an electric Fiat 500 ?
The autonomy of this electric city car can quickly fall in the event of journeys on the highway. Indeed, At a speed of around 130 km/h, the range is estimated at 170 km/h Due to consumption of up to 21.9 kWh/100 km. On the roads, At a more moderate look, the autonomy will be around 227 km, With an average consumption of 16.4 kWh/100 km. Its performance remains average if it is compared to the 20 vehicles whose autonomy we have studied. Thus, the Fiat 500E remains a city car, despite the possibility of recharging on a quick terminal. Indeed, this electric car can tolerate a load power up to 85 kW, and can recover 80 % load in 35 minutes for the 42 kW version. However, it is not as versatile as the Renault Zoé.

How to optimize autonomy ? 4 behaviors to adopt
Several parameters can influence the real autonomy of a zero-emission car. If you want to make recharge last, certain driving habits should be adopted. Ride at moderate speed : accelerations directly impact the autonomy of fully electric vehicles, so it is better to limit your look and remain flexible in your driving. Use regenerative braking : it plays a role of extension of autonomy thanks to the recovery of energy during decelerations and stops. During urban journeys, you can optimize the autonomy of your electric Fiat 500 by activating this function. Do not abuse energy -consuming options : air conditioning in summer as well as heating in winter consume energy. Better to limit their use to a minimum so as not to lose too many kilometers of autonomy. If possible, try to start the function when the car is still connected to a charging station. Take into account the time he has : the heat wave can impact the autonomy of the car, as well as the cold and the front winds. It is therefore important to moderate your pace when time is not very favorable.
You have questions ?
What is the electric Fiat 500 that consumes the least ?
The most economical electric Fiat 500 is The 23.8 kWh Action version. Be aware, however, that this zero emission vehicle has several driving modes, and if you opt for the Sherpa electric mode, you can limit your consumption on any version of the Fiat 500E.
How to recharge an electric Fiat 500 ?
You can recharge your Fiat 500E on a Reinforced socket, a wall charging station or the fast charging stations (50 kW for the 23.8 kW and 85 kW fiat action for other 42 kW models). The charging time can range from 14 hours to 35 minutes depending on the type of charger or socket that you use.
What is the life of an electric car battery ?
The lifespan of electric vehicle batteries is around 1000 to 1500 discharge/recharge cycles. This represents 8 to more than 10 years Depending on the vehicle autonomy and your annual mileage.

Fiat 500 electric 2023: autonomy and price of the chic city car
Launched in 2020, the new Fiat 500 is riding the success of the modern Cinquecento offered in the catalog of the Italian manufacturer since 2007. While the latter continues its long career in micro-hybrid version, the new 500 is based on an unprecedented platform entirely electric. Even if Fiat now belongs to the same group as Peugeot, Opel or Citroën, its technical base has nothing to do with that of the Peugeot E-208 and other DS3.
Fiat 500 dimensions and engines
The Fiat 500 electric is 3.63 meters long and 1.68 meters wide and 1.53 meters high. A little larger than the thermal Fiat 500, it remains smaller and less spacious than city dwellers like the Renault Zoe (4.09 meters) or the Peugeot E-208 (4.06 meters).
Fiat 500 autonomy and recharge
With the small 24 kWh battery, the range is limited to 185 km from the WLTP standard. It climbs to 320 km with the 42 kWh battery in its least equipped version, bringing the 362 km closer to a Peugeot E-208. With this big battery, the autonomy is greater than that of a mini Cooper SE (225 km) or a Renault Twingo E-Tech, given for 190 km.
The Fiat 500 tolerates the load by alternating current up to 11 kW, which allows it to fill its batteries from 0 to 100% in just over two hours with the batteries of 24 kWh and 4:15 with the batteries of 42 kWh.
The 500th with small batteries can recharge at 50 kW in continuous current (38 minutes to iron at 80%), while the large climb to 85 kW in charge (35 minutes to go from 0 to 80%). In the category, only the Peugeot E-208 accepts even more powerful direct current (100 kW).
What price for the Fiat 500 ?
Available under € 25,000 at the launch, the Fiat 500 suffered full whip of inflation. The Italian city car is from € 30,400 in its 24 kWh version in Comfort Pack finish since 2023. Comfort, style and tech levels, combining, replace the old action or icon finishes. For large batteries and the more powerful engine, however, the bill starts at € 33,900. Even with the big battery, it remains a little cheaper than the larger electric city cars (Peugeot E-208, Renault Zoe). The Renault Twingo E-Tech is however more affordable with its addition of departure of the € 25,000.
Like all its competitors, it naturally benefits from the ecological bonus of € 5,000, extensible to € 7,000 if low income. Its batteries are guaranteed 8 years and 160,000 kilometers. Note that the car is built in Mirafiori in Italy and that its batteries come from Samsung SDI.
Soon joined by the electric panda ?
This 500th will soon be the only electric car in the Fiat range. The Italian manufacturer is preparing other models for zero emissions, including a 600X SUV. A 100% electric panda is also on the program, which should resume the technical elements of the 208 or Corsa. Will it be as crunchy ?
