When the Galaxy S21 FE was presented a few days ago, my colleague Ben even spoke of fratricide. As he says in his opinion article on the Galaxy S21 FE: Samsung chose bad timing. A year after the Galaxy S21 outlet and only a few weeks before the presentation of the Galaxy S22, the S21 Fe must therefore find its target.

As for the quality of the finishes, reassured, experience has shown that Samsung still provides service above average. Thus, the polycarbonate back does not seem to be a defect. If we place the two smartphones next to each other, we notice that the S21 Fe is a little larger: the Dynamic Amoled screen of the S21 FE measures 6.4 inches, while S21 has a diagonal 6.2 inch screen.

Apart from that, the two smartphones are not very different, whether in terms of design or screen. The screen offers in both cases an FHD+ resolution and is protected by Gorilla Victus glass. The two models are IP68 certified, rely on a flat screen rather than incurred, but are available in different color variants. Honestly, I don’t want to say anything definitive before we were able to test the Galaxy S21 Fe. But at least on paper, there are not many reasons to prefer this smartphone to S21, which you can now buy for about 100 euros less. The price of the Galaxy S21 should continue to drop and then there is also the new Galaxy S22 which should be released in less than a month with its exynos 2200.

It may be worth wondering if you are going to choose the Galaxy S21 or S22, but S21 Fe does not really give good reasons to buy it.
