The apps created using XCODE beta versions or designed for beta versions of an operating system will not be accepted on the App Store. The apps you submit must be developed with the most up -to -date version of Xcode available on the Mac App Store. They must also be designed to operate with public versions of iOS, iPados, MacOS, Watchos or Tvos, unless candidate versions are available. When a candidate version of Xcode becomes available, use it to develop your app before submitting it. When a candidate version of iOS, iPados, MacOS, Watchos and Tvos becomes available, develop your app for this version.

Beta software encompasses the preliminary versions and test versions and refers to preversion software which is not public and is always in development. As a developer or developer, you can use the software in beta to start integrating the latest Apple technologies into your apps so that they are up to date once the software will be made available to the public.

Xcode

XCODE beta versions include the latest sets of tools and SDK (software development kits) for the creation of apps intended to be executed on future versions of an operating system. Operating systems

Backup

iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

Before installing software in beta, save your device in iTunes, then archive the backup. If you must return to the current version of an operating system, you will not be able to use an iCloud backup or a backup that you have not archived. To obtain a public version on a device, simply install the final version of the software you test when it appears in software update. Mac

Always save your Mac before installing software in beta version. To obtain a public version of MacOS on your Mac, simply install the final version of the software you test when it appears in the Mac App Store. Facility

The beta version of operating system software must only be installed on the devices and systems used for development and testing purposes. Start by testing and checking that the problem is reproduced with the latest beta version of the software. If this is the case, send the results of your tests via the evaluation assistant. Then send a TSI to the Code – Level Support (Coding Assistance) section of your account and indicate the feedback identification number. Please note that software preversions quickly evolve. Apple’s beta software program allows users to try software pre-vessels. The assessments that you provide on quality and use help us identify problems and solve them, and improve Apple software. Note that given that the beta versions of software have not yet been published and marketed by Apple, they can contain errors or inaccuracies, and may not work as well as the marketed versions. Make sure to save your iPhone or iPad and Mac using Time Machine, before installing the beta version of the software. Purchases and data from Apple TV, Homepod Mini and Homepod (2nd generation) being stored in the cloud, it is not necessary to save your device. Do not install beta software on devices used for production or critical activities. We strongly recommend installing it on a secondary system or device, or on a secondary partition of your Mac.

How can I get beta versions ?

As a member of the Apple beta software program, you can register your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, HomePod Mini, Homepod (2nd generation) or Apple Watch to access the latest beta versions and future updates.

How can I send my assessments to Apple ?

The beta versions of iOS, iPados and MacOS include the assessment assistant app, which can be opened from your home screen on your iPhone or iPad, or from dock on your Mac. The assessment assistant app is also available from the Apps help menu by selecting send an assessment. If you use the beta version of Tvos, Watchos or HomePod software, you can send your assessment through the App Assistant Assistant on an iPhone, iPad or Mac registered. The Apple beta software program is open to anyone with a valid Apple identifier and having accepted the agreement of the Apple beta software program during the registration process. If you have an iCloud account, this is an Apple identifier that we recommend using. If you do not have an iCloud account or other Apple identifier, you can create one now.
