Up to 581 kilometers: a greater autonomy for the Volvo C40 Recharge and XC40 Recharge

Zurich. During the certification according to the WLTP driving cycle, the 100% electric Volvo models in the 40 series display very good autonomy values. The Volvo C40 recharging can thus travel up to 581 kilometers and the Volvo XC40 recharges up to 573 kilometers.

With the introduction of new electric motors for the 2024 model year, Volvo Cars has improved autonomy (WLTP) and reduces the charging time of Volvo XC40 Recharge and C40 recharging compared to the previous previous model year.

New values ​​according to the WLTP driving cycle

During the certification according to the WLTP driving cycle, the planned autonomies have improved considerably compared to the first estimates. The Extended Range versions have thus reached an autonomy of more than 580 kilometers instead of a maximum of 533 kilometers, as estimated before. For 2023, Volvo adds the Core versions and more to the C40 Recharge range. At the same time, prices drop and make this luxury electric SUV that looks a coupé eligible for government grants. Two electric motors unite to free 402 horsepower and the 78 kWh battery provides an autonomy of around 360 km. To find the same attributes or almost in a more classic SUV format, there is always the XC40 recharging.
