Intuitive and practical application.
I easily found the train best suited to my journey. The visibility of ticket prices is clear. Reservation and fast purchase.
Only downside: the application has stopped several times.

Like you, I always bought my train tickets on the SNCF website. Until the last month.

Having heard of Trainline and offering it on my blog, especially On the Resources page And to travel by train in Europe, I wanted to test myself for the purchase of a ticket in France.

Like everything went well, I bought other train tickets on it. No problem.

On the contrary, I find the experience more practical, fast and simple than on the SNCF site.

Trainline offers this service for train delays. A real plus I find.

Here’s how it works:

-When you are eligible for compensation, you receive an email or a notification on your phone.

-The site estimates the amount for you.

-Then you are helped in your approach with the SNCF.

Eurostar, Thalys, Tgvlyria, Trenitaliaetc, direct access to the tickets for these trains.

Buy or renew your reduction card

The site also offers this, and in particular the advantage card which offers 30 % reduction for 49 euros per year.

A card that I recommend if you make a few long journeys per year, it is quickly reimbursed. Indeed, it may be enough of 3 or 4 TGV journeys to make it profitable.

The Liberté card offers 60% reduction on journeys, for 399 euros per year.

Why hesitate ?

We are all so used to buying our train tickets on the SNCF since always that it may seem difficult to take the plunge for another site.

I too had reluctance.

I have tried and since then I haven’t happened.

The tickets are the same, the identical prices, the conditions of exchange and reimbursement such, all is done on the site.

The only drawback I see is that information on strikes and disruptions are less present than on the SNCF website.

Trainline is certainly a platform ..

Trainline is certainly a very practical platform but on the condition that there is no problem with the carrier, think about it before using it !
It is better to go directly through the carriers who, in exceptional circumstances, will grant exceptional measures. TrainLine remains on the conditions of purchase, refers to the conditions given of the carrier and does not seek to make an effort, unlike housing platform sites for example
