Subscribe a student subscription to Apple Music
Students enrolled in universities or higher education establishments issuing diplomas can subscribe to Apple Music at a reduced monthly rate for a maximum duration of 48 months. In addition, if you have a student subscription to Apple Music, you can access free Apple TV+ for a limited period.
To benefit from a student subscription to Apple Music, you must be a student in a university or a higher education establishment delivering university degrees. Pre -university establishments, technical education colleges and certain special courses are also eligible for Japan. How to subscribe to a student subscription to Apple Music
- Open the Apple Music or iTunes app.
- Access to listen or to you.
- Touch or click on the test offer (one trial per person or family).
- Select student, then touch or click Confirm your eligibility.
- You will be redirected to the UNADAYS website in which you will have to follow the instructions on the screen to check your registration. Once you have validated your student status, you will be redirected to Apple Music or iTunes.
- Connect using the Apple identifier and the password with which you make your purchases. If you do not have an Apple identifier, choose Create an Apple identifier, then proceed as follows. If you are not sure you have an Apple identifier, we can help you.
- Validate your billing information and add a valid payment method.
- Touch or click Join.
How to benefit from Apple TV+
If you have a student subscription to Apple Music, you can access free Apple TV+ for a limited period. To do this, simply open the Apple TV app and enjoy the Apple Originals creations. You cannot share your free access to Apple TV+ with the family sharing service.
Apple TV+ is not available in all countries and all regions. You may be able to use Apple Music in your country or region, but not Apple TV+. Discover the services available in your country or region.
How to validate your student status again
At the end of each year for which you have a student subscription to Apple Music, you will receive a message asking you to validate your student status in the Apple Music app or in iTunes. You can also validate your student status at any time in the App Settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
In the Apple Music or iTunes app for Windows
If a message asks you to validate your student status:
- Touch or click Confirm your eligibility.
- Touch or click access the site.
- Connect to the portal of your establishment.
- Once connected to the portal of your establishment, you are redirected to Apple Music and a confirmation screen appears.
In settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
- Go to settings> [your name], then touch subscriptions.
- Tap Apple Music subscription.
- Touch “Validate your student status”. You are redirected to the Unidays website.
- To validate your eligibility, follow the instructions. If validation succeeds, you are automatically redirected to Apple Music and your Apple Music student subscription continues.
If you are no longer a student
If you are no longer a student or have come to the end of the 48 months of a student subscription, your subscription is automatically converted into an individual subscription to Apple Music, and you lose free access to Apple TV+.
If you are invited to validate your student status after launching Apple Music, but you are no longer a student or you have come to the end of the 48 months of subscription, touch or click on “I am no longer a student”. You will no longer be invited to confirm your status later.
If you do not confirm during the specified period and you have not yet reached the end of the 48 months, you will have to re -register as a student.

For several years, many of the streaming platforms revise their upward prices. This is particularly the case of Netflix which spent its essential formula at € 8.99 (+ € 1) in France last August.
The Los Gatos firm regularly increases the prices of its subscription formulas, but it is not alone because Apple Music has discreetly increased its prices in several countries of the world. Last month, the platform increased the price of its formula for students in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Israel and New Zealand.
Today, Apple Increases the price of its Student Formula in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and France. Belgium, Switzerland and Japan also undergo an increase in prices on the formula for students.
One euro more for the student subscription
In the United States, the Apple Music student subscription was billed at $ 4.99 per month. Today, it increases to 5.99 dollars per month, one more dollar. In the United Kingdom, the price also increases from 4.99 pounds Sterling to 5.99 pounds sterling.
And in France, students will have to pay an additional euro per month to keep their subscription to Apple Music. The rate goes from € 4.99 to € 5.99 per month. If the increase is “only” one euro per month, this still represents a 20% increase in the price for students.
Apple Music then joined Deezer who was so far the only one to offer a student formula at € 5.99 per month. The other musical streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music or Tidal, still offer a reduced price for students at € 4.99 per month. The price of other subscription formulas (Voice, Individual and Family) remains unchanged at the moment.
