You don’t see your device ?
- If you see several devices with the same name (for example, iPhone), try to connect to each of them.
- Try to connect to the device using your Spotify identifiers. You should be able to see it in the Spotify app even if it is not connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- [Mobile] Disable Show local devices only in the preferences of the mobile mobile app, under aircraft. This allows the app to see devices that are not currently connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- [Web reader] On the web player, you can only use the devices you have already connected or Google Cast devices on your current network (if you use Chrome). If your device does not appear, try to use the Spotify app.
- [iPhone] Make sure to allow Spotify to access your local network. Access the iPhone> Spotify> Local network settings and activate the option.
Spotify Connect does not work ?
- Restart the Spotify app.
- Restart your speaker or your connected screen.
- Restart the device that runs the Spotify app.
- Make sure your Spotify app is up to date.
- Make sure that the software of all devices is up to date.
- Try to connect devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Relaunch your Wi-Fi network or test another.
- [Android TV] Authorize Spotify to be displayed on other apps. Access TV settings> Applications> Special Access to the Application> Display on other applications.
You don’t recognize a device ?
You may have been connected to another person’s device. If you do not have access, you must ask its owner to disconnect from your account.
You can also :
- Remove the device from the list to avoid connecting it inadvertently: click on the three points next to the device to be deleted, then on Forget the device.
- Dissociate your Spotify account from the manufacturer’s app, for example Amazon Alexa.
- Disconnect all your devices on your account page. For more security, we advise you to reset your password.
