�� Debit: not the fastest on the market

In its basic version, the SFR box Power displays a rather classic performance in terms of downward speed. For what ? Simply because it can reach up to 1 GB/s for download, the speed of most entry -level internet offers from most operators. But where its flow becomes interesting, it is when its downward speed can reach up to 2 Gb/s shared. Regarding the amount of the SFR box upright, it will not be necessary to expect a flow rate greater than 700 Mb/s.

If you are not yet eligible for SFR fiber, you will have to fall back on the SFR Power with Adsl technology. You will then have a lower flow: up to 20 Mb/s in ADSL and up to 95 Mb/s if you are eligible for VDSL. Either the same connection speeds as other operators. Indeed, with XDSL technologies, all internet boxes have the same theoretical flows.

A simple and intuitive TV interface

The SFR Box 7 adopts a simple and refined TV interface. The sections are organized in the form of vignettes, and navigation is very simply carried out thanks to the remote control.

During our tests, we did not meet any bug or slowdown, which is a very good thing. SFR has therefore very well optimized the software part of its box, to offer user a very pleasant TV experience.

A full TV bouquet with exclusive channels

The SFR Box 7 offer includes more than 160 TV and services channels. Among these channels, we find those of TNT, regional, as well as a selection of thematic channels. Most channels are in high definition, and have a replay service.

The SFR Box 7 Power package adds 40 additional channels, a bouquet of 200 channels. The Power TV bouquet includes in particular 8 exclusive channels including Discovery, Syfy, E!, Mycuisine, as well as 13th street.

A 4K quality image

As indicated by his name, The SFR decoder is compatible with 4K. You can enjoy a quality image 4 times higher than HD, on compatible programs.

Cloud recording

The voice command

The remote control, delivered with the decoder of the SFR 4K box, has the particularity of having a microphone. The latter simply allows Control television by voice, thanks to a voice command functionality.

Thanks to the voice command, it is possible to change channels, launch a replay, open a VOD or even program a recording simply by the voice.

After several months of use, The SFR Box 7 manages to attract many subscribers thanks to its remarkable performance, particularly in terms of flows. Recall that the SFR Box 4K is able to reach 500 Mb/s of fiber optical flow rate. Its rapid 5 -ac Wifi seems to satisfy the vast majority of subscribers.

Regarding the television part, SFR customers particularly appreciate 4K compatibility. The latter take advantage of the ultra high definition on their favorite applications, such as Netflix or Prime Video, but also on sports channels. The quality of the TV interface is also underlined by SFR subscribers.

Another positive point: customers appreciate the price of the SFR Box 7. Remember that it is available for 20.99 €/month for 1 year, making it one of the cheapest triple-play boxes on the market.

Negative opinions on the SFR Box 7

Some customers regret that the SFR Box 7 does not include WiFi 6. If the WiFi of the SFR Box 7 remains one of the best on the market, it remains less efficient than the latest generation WiFi technology. WiFi 6 is indeed reserved for the SFR Box 8, the SFR Premium box.

In addition, the SFR Box 7 is not compatible with Dolby Vision. This audio technology allows the diffusion of an exceptional quality sound. Dolby Atmos, providing 3 -dimensional sound, is not supported by the SFR Box 7 either.
