Seres
Based in full Silicon Valley, the Seres brand belongs to the Chinese group Dongfeng and notably appointed the former co -founder of Tesla Martin Eberhard among the strategic directors. In 2021, this manufacturer arrived on the French market with a credo: “make the electric accessible”. Lynk & Co
Another brand still unknown in France this year, Lynk & Co is a Sino-Swedish manufacturer. A very young Cousine company in Volvo in this group and which was founded in 2016 in Sweden, a country where its cars are designed before they are made in China. To embark on the French market, Lynk & Co bet on 01, a SUV sold 41.500 euros or on subscription (which can be stopped at any time). The brand is betting on a rechargeable hybrid engine. Its economic model is turned to digital, with orders to place on its official website. “All repairs and services are performed through the Volvo network in France, we take charge of the vehicle in the event of a breakdown or it is possible to deposit it on specific places to be taken care of. We will also open clubs, which will not be concessions, as we already do in Europe. Aiways
Founded in 2017 and installed in France since 2020, Aiways is a 100 % Chinese brand which bet until the end of 2021 on sales essentially online. After digital experience, the brand has also chosen to develop its notoriety through physical exhibition stores installed in the country’s major cities. A first permanent vocation blind recently opened in the 15th arrondissement in Paris, before next deployments in Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Nantes and Nice. At present, the brand sells in particular the U5 SUV. A 100 % electric model sold from 39.300 euros, in its catalog.
cupra
Already having a certain notoriety in France, Cupra takes off and becomes the new premium brand in Seat. Like Alpine at Renault or DS at PSA, this brand must be distinguished from the Iberian subsidiary of the German group Volkswagen AG, with high -end vehicles and having more personality. Genesis
Like DS for PSA, Cupra for Seat or Lexus for Toyota, the Genesis brand is the new luxury category of the Korean manufacturer Hyundai. But beware, if its official site is translated into French, this manufacturer may not arrive in France before 2023. It is all the same with some experience of the French market that the brand intends to land on our territory. Anchored in digital, Lynk & Co presents constantly connected cars, A full open commercial platform, a concept of shareable digital keys and a dedicated app store.
In collaboration with important players in technological industry, Alibaba, Ericsson and Microsoft, Lynk & Co has created a multichannel digital platform.
While car brands depend on a network of dealers, Lynk & Co directly provides a Online solution to motorists.
Lynk & Co collaborated with Microsoft and Alibaba to build thededicated interactive digital infrastructure dedicated to customer relations, with a dematerialized act of purchase, logistics, sale, CRM and personalized applications.
Lynk & Co cars will be sold online or in a selection of shops, at an identical international price and Delivered directly to the buyer’s home. Automobiles will also be available in leasing, subscription and/or shared mode.
THE Maintenance operations should be done in a traditional after-sales network. Discussions on maintenance options in the Volvo network are underway, as well as other external collaboration options.
Alain Visser, Vice Senior President of Lynk & Co, explains: “Other companies spend a lot of time protecting their economic model. We had no models to survive, which allowed us to digitize our offer. The car is fantastic, but it is our offer in its entirety that will definitively change customer relationships to the automobile ”.
One of the main innovations of Lynk & Co cars is the lock sharing. The opening and starting are controlled by voice recognition and secured by a digital secret code. A button allows the owner to make his vehicle usable by others at defined times via a digital key. Reservations, payments and all the relationships between users are managed directly by the Lynk & Co platform. Mechanical closing systems are used as backup.
All Lynk & Co vehicles will offer Electric powertrain. The models will use the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) construction platform of Volvo.
The first Lynk & Co model will be the 01, A Compact SUV. It will be followed by 02, 03, and so on to provide a full range of Lynk & Co vehicles.
Lynk & Co 01 was designed and developed in Sweden. It will be sold from 2017 in China then in Europe and the United States.
