During business meetings, it is not uncommon for a participants to projects something on the wall using a projector, such as a PowerPoint presentation, an Excel spreadsheet or another document that will be discussed in Group. TeamViewer allows you to do the same during online conferences. With the “screen sharing” function, you can show the content of your screen to Unlimited number of people, during a presentation for example. The others can see the program window on your computer but, unlike remote access, they cannot access it. You alone have access to the contents of your screen and decide what you want to show or not.
When you share your screen, the other conference participants don’t just see the content of your screen, but also what you do. This function is practical to explain the operation of software or comment on a group document. It is also possible to quickly and easily share bulky multimedia content, For example videos or presentations. In addition to the screen content, you can also transfer the sound of your computer if necessary, which is very practical when you film the meeting for example. Thanks to its very good image transfer rate, TeamViewer offers you high quality images and sound with stable internet connection.
You decide what you show
At an online conference with TeamViewer, participants have different roles. As an initiator of Reunion, your role is above all to present: you can therefore use the desktop sharing to display the files present on your screen on those of other participants. There is onlyA presenter, But this role can be distributed with other people who will be able to share their screen in turn. This function is useful if several participants wish to present the result of their work.
Screen sharing does not necessarily mean that you share your whole screen. With TeamViewer, you decide in detail what your colleagues are allowed to see during the Screen Sharing. Your private sphere remains protected. For example, if you have several screens, you can specify which monitor to use for sharing, and use the other to open confidential documents.
You have the option of hiding the wallpaper of your office, which means less data to transfer and better connection quality. You can also decide to share only certain program windows. You must enter sensitive data during your presentation, such as a password ? No problem ! Temporarily pause the online screen sharing software. The other participants will then see their “frozen” screen until you reactivate screen sharing.
Even more productive thanks to additional functions
In addition to screen sharing, TeamViewer offers you other possibilities to make your meetings online more interactive. As a presenter, you can activate the White Table Function which allows participants and yourself to add comments, drawings and markers to the content of the live screen. You can save the annotations made on the whiteboard to be able to read them later as you wish.
It can be difficult to remember all the details of a long meeting. Meeting reports are certainly useful, but small non -registered details can be the most important. TeamViewer offers you the possibility to record your meetings online via screen recording and archive them. This function also works with screen sharing. So you can review which you discussed and which document or version of a file you consulted at the meeting. Colleagues who were unable to participate in the online conference or who join the project later can easily be kept up to date.
Compatible with all operating and peripheral systems
The device used by conference participants is little matter. The contents of a Mac screen can be easily transferred to a Windows PC, but screen sharing on iPhone is also possible. Teamviewer works on several platforms and is compatible with all current IT and mobile operating systems. After installing the software on your device, you can share your screen during an online meeting or see the contents of the screen shared by other participants.
