Automatically back up to iCloud

Noticed : If you activate the use of iCloud synchronization (from settings> [your name]> iCloud> Show everything) for an app or functionality, its data is stored in iCloud. Save the iPhone

You can save your iPhone with iCloud or computer. To determine the method that suits you best, see the article about backups for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Trick : If you replace your iPhone, you can use its backup to transfer your data to the new device. Consult the section Restore all the contents of the iPhone from a backup.

Save the iPhone with iCloud

  1. Access Settings> [your name]> iCloud> iCloud backup.
  2. Activate “iCloud backup”. iCloud automatically and daily backup your iPhone when connected to the mains, locked and connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Noticed : On the models supporting 5G, your operator can offer you to save your iPhone using your cellular network. Access Settings> [your name]> iCloud> iCloud backup, then activate or deactivate “Save via cellular”.

To consult your iCloud backups, go to settings> [your name]> iCloud> Manage account storage space> backup. To delete a backup on the device you use, choose a backup from the list, then touch “Disable and delete iCloud”. To delete a backup on another device using the same Apple identifier, touch delete.

Save the iPhone using the Mac

  1. Connect the iPhone to a computer using a cable.
  2. In the Finder sidebar on your Mac, select your iPhone. To save your iPhone using the Finder, MacOS 10.15 or later is required. With the previous versions of macOS, use iTunes to save your iPhone.
  3. At the top of the Finder window, click General.
  4. Select “Save all your iPhone data on this Mac”.
  5. To encrypt your backup data and protect it with a password, select “Cantal local backup”.
  6. Click on “Save now”.

Noticed : You can also connect the iPhone wirelessly to your computer if you have configured synchronization by Wi-Fi.

Save the iPhone using a Windows PC

  1. Connect the iPhone to a computer using a cable.
  2. In the iTunes app on your PC, click the iPhone button at the top left of the iTunes window.
  3. Click on Summary.
  4. Click on “Save now” (under backup).
  5. To encrypt your backups, select “Cantal the local backup”, enter a password, then click on “Define the password”.

To display backups stored on your computer, choose modify> Preferences, then click devices. The quantified backups display an icon of padlocks locked in the backup list.

Noticed : You can also connect the iPhone wirelessly to your computer if you have configured synchronization by Wi-Fi.

Automatically back up to iCloud

Every day when you use proloquo2go, the application achieves an automatic backup. From proloquo2go 5, iCloud automatic backup is activated by default. This means that your iCloud account will store the most recent backup of each user. You will benefit from additional security in case proloquo2go is accidentally deleted or if your device is damaged.

You can check that iCloud automatic backup is enabled in the settings of your device settings.

  1. First, launch the Settings Application.
  2. In the list, touch the top section Apple, iCloud, iTunes and App Store identifier.

  1. Touch iCloud.
  2. Scroll until you get to the list of third -party applications. Make sure the proloquo2go parameter is activated.

The device must be connected to the Internet so that proloquo2go can download files to iCloud. In addition, a single backup per device and by user will be stored on your iCloud account at any time. When a new backup is downloaded, it replaces the old version for this user. It is for this reason that we recommend that you make regular backups to Google Drive, Dropbox or on your computer.
