Samsung Pay is now accessible to postal bank customers

Samsung Pay, the simple and secure mobile payment service of Samsung Electronics France is now available for postal bank customers holding a visa card and owners of a smartphone or a Samsung compatible connected watch.

With Samsung Pay, La Banque Postale enriches its offer of modern and innovative services offered to its customers by deploying the contactless payment solution on Mobile Leader on Android . Simple, fast and efficient, Samsung Pay parks purchases safely with its smartphone or connected watch and responds to new customers’ uses.

To pay with Samsung Pay, simply open the application, validate the payment thanks to a PIN code or its biometric data, then approach the phone or the connected watch of the purchase terminal in store.

Samsung Pay allows you to pay for your purchases beyond the limit of € 50 which applies to contactless payments by bank card 1 . It also makes possible, online purchases and via applications. Account holders Banque Postale can also record their various loyalty cards in the application in all simplicity.

The Banque Postale has finally announced the integration of Samsung Pay in order to respond to the ever -increasing demand for alternative means of payment.

If most online and neobank banks are much more on the page on the availability of mobile payment systems, so -called “traditional” banks are still lagging behind this area. So that the announcement of taking into account a new platform compatible with one of the most popular banks in France necessarily makes its small effect. This is the case today with the announcement of the Postal Bank which has just made Samsung Pay available to all of its customers.

Samsung Pay is therefore joining Apple Pay and Paylib in the list of mobile payment platforms supported by the bank. Note all the same that the postal bank is still not compatible Google Pay.

Complete integration of the Samsung banking ecosystem

After the Banque Populaire, the Savings Fund and the Crédit Agricole, the Postal Bank becomes the fourth big French bank to take charge of Samsung Pay. The service was launched in 2018 in France, 2 years after a certain Apple Pay. To take advantage of it, you must obviously have a smartphone or a compatible Samsung connected watch. Once your card is configured with the device with a Samsung account, you will be able to set a purchase in store simply by touching the terminal thanks to the NFC functions. At each payment, you garner points that can be spent on the Korean manufacturer’s online store.

Samsung Wallet (Samsung Pay)

The Samsung Pay ecosystem is secured by Samsung Knox and by an encryption system for banking data. A single cryptogram is thus issued each transaction and card data is not stored in the device or on Samsung servers.
