The Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy 20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra were launched after an Unpacked event on February 11, 2020. The three smartphones have been commercially available since March 13, 2020.

What sizes for screens ?
Samsung has decided to revise the screen size compared to the Galaxy S10. The cheaper S20 variant thus has a screen as imposing as the S10+ released in 2019. Here are the sizes:
- Galaxy S20: 6.2 inch screen
- Galaxy S20+: 6.7 inch screen
- Galaxy S20 Ultra: 6.9 inch screen
What do we know on the 120 Hz screen ?
This year, Samsung has decided to distinguish itself from the competition by opting for screens at the refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 120 Hz screen would be offered on the 3 Galaxy S20. The manufacturer will allow users to easily go from 60 to 120 Hz through the settings. Samsung will set up three different options to manage the operation of the 120 Hz screen:
- Complete deactivation of the 120 Hz screen (the rate remains at 60 Hz)
- Activate high refresh rate mode and maintain 120 Hz
- Activate high refresh rate mode and automatically switch between 60Hz and 120Hz
What socy and how much RAM ?
The American Galaxy S20 will be built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SOC. The models sold on the European market are based on their side on the Exynos 990 SOC developed by Samsung. To support the SoC, the manufacturer incorporates up to 16 GB of RAM in its most premium variant, the Ultra S20. The other variants can count on 12 GB of RAM.
What sizes for batteries ?
On the autonomy side, we have battery capacities between 4000 and 5000 mAh. Samsung also put on a quick recharging of 45W on premium variations (S20+ and Ultra).

What do we know about the camera of the S20 ?
Samsung has integrated a five -time photo sensor composed of a main module of 108 Mp with its ultra galaxy s20. This is the Isocell Bright HMX designed in partnership with Xiaomi. This sensor offers a definition equivalent to that of a high -end digital reflex device. The other variants are satisfied with a 64 MP sensor.

On the front, Samsung would bet on the other hand on a unique selfie camera (10 MP) for all models except the Ultra which has a 40 MP sensor. The photo modules of the Ultra S20 had to reach the first places in the DXOMARK classification even if the crown of the best smartphone in photo is coming up this year at the Huawei P40 Pro.
Do they encounter a lot of technical problems since their release ?
Since their release, many users have complained of technical problems on the Smartphone Exynos 990 variations. The problems above all affect the photo part with an erratic behavior of the autofocus, performance below what the Snapdragon 865 version offers, and a significantly higher impact on the battery. However, things improve. Samsung has notably launched a new “Super Zoom” mode which finally seems to solve autofocus problems.
What design for the Galaxy S20 ?
Very inspired by the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+, the Galaxy S20 are sublimated by an infinity-o screen with a hole replaced in the center. The Amoled slab is surrounded by fine borders and a slightly thicker chin. The edges of the three models are curved. On the back, the modules that make up the camera are arranged in a rectangular shape, as is the case for the Huawei P40 in particular.
Note in passing that Samsung also declines the Galaxy S20 in a version called Tactical Edition, intended exclusively for soldiers. The smartphone then offers a very different design, with a reinforced thick casing and quantity of optimizations and modifications of the software overlay to adapt the smartphone to the needs of the armies.
