It is clear that the watch is very complete in the settings and use.
Only with the iOS Apple there are synchronization problems which means that we lose the data sometimes m, very annoying for what want to have a precise monitoring of the evolution of training etc.
If Samsung has problems making the watch completely compatible for a functioning identical to a connection to their smartphone, then it would be wise to develop a synchronization mode via the USB cable on a computer since we have created a Samsung Galaxy user profile.

WhatsApp notifications

I use a Galaxy Fit 2 watch (iOS 14 on an iPhone 8 Plus) and I encounter a problem with regard to whatsapp notifications because I do not receive them on my watch, the option does not appear in the Notifications settings (which in my opinion could be better presented and provide more transparency regarding the applications supported) the notive messages, Messenger, (and even discord!) work but not WhatsApp which is one of the most used apps to communicate, it’s really a shame. Is it a bug? Is this a support problem (iOS)? Is this my watch? Please remedy the problems in future updates otherwise the watch is very practical! And very pleasant to wear;)

Dear User, we are very sorry for the troubled experience. Please the following to resolve your notification:
1. First, Enable The Galaxy Fit App to receive notifications to get iPhone Notifications in Gear Device. (Galaxy Fit App → Notifications → Receive notifications)
2. After that, Go to iPhone Settings → Bluetooth → Tap the “I” icon Next to the name of your gear device and turn on “share system notifications” option.
Note: If you don’t see the “system notifications option” then:
has. Restart (Power Off) Your Gear.
B. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your iPhone asking if you want your gear to show notifications.
vs. If you did not get the message, Connect Your Gear with iPhone and do Step 2
3. For messages, make sure “allow notifications” is on from iPhone Settings -> Notifications -> Messages. Also check if lock screen, Center notification, and banners are on.
4. For Any Other App, Repeat Step 3.

Very good watch, I have the Galaxy Fit Bit 2 which has a lot of features, the weak point for me is that we cannot wake up directly on the watch, while we have the time and the timer

The Samsung Galaxy Store vulnerable to hackers, quickly install the update

Two safety flaws have just been spotted on the Samsung Galaxy Store. One of them allows you to install applications on your device without your knowledge.

Launched in 2009, the Samsung Galaxy Store, formerly known as “Samsung Apps” and “Galaxy Apps”, is an application shop found only on devices made by Samsung.

This week, cybersecurity researchers from the NCC group revealed two vulnerabilities on the Galaxy Store. The first, thanks to an “incorrect access control”, allows a malicious application already installed on the device to download any other application from the Samsung store.

The second vulnerability concerns the Galaxy Store web display filter which has not been properly configured and which allows access to malicious areas as long as they contain elements similar to an URL approved. A problem that gives hackers the opportunity to execute JavaScript code to launch attacks, as Ken Gannon, researcher at NCC Group explains:

“Click on a malicious hypertext link in Google Chrome or on a preinstalled malicious application on a Samsung device can bypass the Samsung URL filter and launch a web view to an attacker’s field. »»

Samsung says it has corrected this flaw in version 4.5.49.8 of the Galaxy Store, But it requires updating the application on your device. In addition, it does not affect users who have Android 13, thanks to the safety functions of the operating system. Only people with a smartphone or a tablet under Android 12 or a previous version are affected.

An update which comes after the deployment by Samsung in January 2023 of a security patch. The latter has corrected several flaws, some of which could be used to modify the network parameters of the mobile operator or display advertising without the consent of the user.
