Technical configuration

Inherited from the same configuration as the Clio e-tech, the Renault Captur E-Tech combines a petrol engine with two electric motors. Piloted by a multimode automatic transmission, it accumulates 145 power horsepower.

Non -rechargeable, the battery is less substantial than that embedded aboard the rechargeable hybrid captur. Cumulating 1.2 kWh of capacity, it recharges in the deceleration and braking phases.

In use, the driver can choose from several driving modes. Among them, a “B” mode that intensified a more powerful recovery system.

Renault continues to sort through its range and replace most of the finishes of its models with new names that the new 100 % electric mega e-tech has inaugurated. Exit the Zen, Intenial and Initial Paris, and make way for Equilibre, Evolution, Techno and Iconic denominations which do not necessarily correspond in look, in equipment and. in number, since they are more numerous. Only survivors of the old weather, the R livery.S. Line (while waiting for the Alpine spirit ?) as well as the Limited Strong Left series. The Captur 2022 now starts from € 23,100, against € 22,450 previously. But some versions are doing less well than others.

+ € 3,600 for the rechargeable hybrid captur !

In all this operation, it is the rechargeable hybrid which is the least well since the starting bet goes from € 32,750 to € 36,350, an increase of € 3,600 anyway. But there is an explanation. To be able to afford your services, you must now go directly to the 3rd level of techno finish. Previously, the 160 hp e-tech was available from the entry level Zen. A equivalent finish (easy, ROVERS R.S. Line and SL Rive Gauche do not move), the increase is “only” of € 850. But all the same, it would have been appreciable that we could opt for a slightly less expensive livery.

LPG more expensive than TCE petrol 90 is new

The Limited Strong Standing Series costs 1,100 € to € 1,900 more

Finally, while we could opt for the limited left bank series which plays it chic with its black touches with the 90 hp petrol engine and the 100 hp LPG, this is no longer the case now, you have to immediately go to Mild Hybrid 140 hp. In fact, the first price of this livery is climbing € 3,300. And even with equivalent motorization, there is an additional cost ranging from € 1,100 for the hybrid to € 1,900 for the rechargeable hybrid (!) and finally € 1,600 for both petrol with light hybridization of 140 and 160 hp. The diamond brand had a little heavy hand on the prices.
