Halfway between the base of Captur and the dimensions of a Kadjar, this unpublished SUV Renault Arkana with a profile of sedan hosts a hybrid e-tech motorization of 145 horsepower.

The Renault Arkana is a very important model for the manufacturer because it marks its entry into the cut SUV segment. In addition, its hybridization allows it to reach a wider audience.

Dimensions and design of the Renault Arkana

The Renault Arkana is 8 centimeters longer than the Kadjar, the family SUV of Renault, but the Arkana shares nothing with him. Cousin of the Samsung XM3, he actually uses the CMF-B platform of Clio and Captur, but comes to offer a length of 4.57 meters.

The one that Renault describes as descendant of the R16 displays a high silhouette with its 19 cm ground clearance. If purely thermal engines are on the program, it is the hybrid e-tech motorization that interests us. This version of the Renault Arkana takes up the block of the Clio E-Tech, associated with two electric motors. The set displays 145 horsepower (105 kW) and 205 Nm of torque. Power only goes to the front wheels, and no 4 -wheel drive version is planned.

The whole thing is done thanks to a “multi -vanimod” spray gearbox. Renault’s hybrid coupe SUV is able to reach up to 172 km/h maximum speed and shoot 0 to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds.

The Renault Arkana Hybrid has a small battery of 1.2 kWh which recharges during the braking and deceleration phases. It is at the back of the SUV under the floor and also starts the heat engine when it is to serve as a generator.

The change between the heat engine and the 100% electric mode is automatically made according to the battery load and the driving. Thanks to this, the Renault Arkana E-Tech displays a consumption of 4.9 l/100 km in mixed WLTP cycle.

If he cannot exceed 3 kilometers of autonomy in 100% electric, he regularly returns in ‘zero emission’ mode. This is particularly the case in town, where the Hybrid Arkana can drive up to 80% of the time in electric mode.

The dimension of the cut SUV allow to have in particular 1.45 meters in the elbows. Capable of accommodating five passengers, the Arkana displays great loading arrangements despite the battery located under the floor.

It has a 480 -liter trunk, a volume that can be raised to 1263 liters once the rear seat is folded down. In non -electrified motor versions, the trunk goes up to 513 liters of volume.

The dashboard displays a 9.3 -inch touch screen in its center, on which we find the main functions of the car. It also displays the rear view camera and the car performance and consumption statistics.

Price and availability of the Renault Arkana Hybrid

The Renault Arkana E-Tech has been marketed in France since March 2021. Renault’s hybrid SUV is available in three finish levels, as well as a version for professional customers.

In its entry -level Zen, it is displayed at a price from € 31,200. It takes 33,350 euros for the Intel version, and its price is climbed to € 36,200 in the high -end version RS Line. For professionals, the business version starts at 31,900 euros.

Note : The aggregation can sometimes lose its superb with significant Montrees. This is linked to the number of reports and battery management which does not recharge it so as not to find that the power is found to be power (there are two in the you alite).
