At home, in Germany, the brand is completely interested in the whole ecosystem of the electric vehicle. After trying the sale of a trendy vehicle, Lidl will therefore offer from mid-December of the accessories related to recharge. For example, there is a type 2 cable at only € 129. And that’s not all. In the catalog, we also spotted Wallbox type terminals.
These are wall boxes that can be installed outdoors. Two versions are offered. The entry -level (current 16A) recharges up to 3.7 kW with a 230 V single -phase power supply or 11 kW with a 400 V three -phase power supply. The upper model (current 32 A) announces up to 7.4 kW in 230 V power supply and 22 kW in 400 V power supply. The box incorporates a small color screen and is associated with a 5 -meter long 2 -meter -long cable.
And once again, true to its habits, Lidl hits very much in terms of price. Its Wallbox 11 kW terminal is € 333, it is half as much as the average price of this kind of accessories. The 22 kW version is € 499. Even if these prices do not take into account the installation, it is canon.
Unfortunately, these items are currently reserved for Germany. Lidl let us know that he does not intend to sell cables or terminals in France.
Electric cars: Lidl breaks the prices of fast charging with a new terminal station
According to Lidl, this is a first in the world of large distribution in France. On November 21, the German supermarket brand will open an “e-station”, with charging stations for drivers of electric or hybrid vehicles rechargeable. This takes place at the Lidl de Villefranche-sur-Saône, about thirty kilometers north of Lyon.
Of course, there are already charges in the parking lots of the French Lidl. This time is a large station capable of accommodating 13 vehicles, with fast and even ultra-fast recharge points. There is indeed the most powerful terminal on the market, 360 kW. With it, you can find 100 km of autonomy in 3 minutes.
The station, covered with photovoltaic panels, has a 360 kW point, eight points 180 kW and four points 22 kW. It is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Be careful however: unlike what is often practiced with the terminals of small powers already installed in Lidl parking lots, the recharge is not offered. According to the “Actlyon” site, it costs 25 cents per kWh on the terminals up to 22 kW, 40 cents per kWh with the 180 kW and 360 kW.
If this is confirmed (we expect a response from Lidl), then the brand, renowned for aggressive prices in its stores, strikes hard in terms of rapid charging. 40 cents for rapid recharging of most new electric models, it’s very interesting. At Alogo, since mid-October, 98 cents per kWh is on terminals of more than 50 kW ! Enter, we find the ionity prices.
Asset of this supermarket, it is well placed, near an exit from the A6 motorway.
