The details of CO2 emissions, electricity consumption and electrical autonomy have been determined according to the prescribed measurement method and correspond to Regulation (EU) 715/2007 in the applicable version. The NEDC values ​​indicated were determined on the basis of the new WLTP measurement method. They are converted into NEDC measurement method values ​​for comparison purposes. A guide to fuel consumption and CO2 emissions containing data for all new private car models can be obtained for free in all points of sale.

The levels of autonomy determined using the standard WLTP cycle makes it possible to establish a comparison between manufacturers. They also include the measurement scope obtained by recovery (energy recovery to braking). The autonomy indicated for long distances serves as a reference value for the longest journeys. It is calculated on the basis of a partial WLTP cycle, characteristic of long journeys where auxiliary equipment is used (such as air conditioning). Driving style and behavior behind the wheel of each driver, speed, acceleration mode, outside temperature, relief and the use of electric vehicles are influenced on actual autonomy. These factors contribute to the reduction, or in certain circumstances to the increase in actual autonomy. The values ​​were established according to the measurement procedure stipulated by the EU. The real values ​​may differ from the values ​​indicated according to the driving constraints.

The battery recharging time can vary depending on different factors, such as temperature differences, available powers and other restrictions, or the use of remote controls (for example, remote -controlled air conditioning, vehicle preheating, etc.)). With a three -phase power supply, you can recharge up to 22 kW and go from a charging condition (SOC) from 10 % to 80 % in 3 hours. With a CC quick charging station, you can recharge up to 150 kW and go from an SOC 10 % to 80 % in 30 minutes.

For recharging using alternating power outlets (CA), Smart advises loading high voltage battery using industrial socket, in a public charging station or with a wallbox. This results in greater efficiency and significantly shorter recharge time compared to home charging stakes. This also makes it possible to extend the battery life.

The available motor power of electric vehicles operating on battery depends on several factors, such as the duration of the required performance, the battery voltage and the temperature. The maximum power possible for each acceleration value can be reached several times, but never one immediately after the other, due to basic physical factors.

Smart offers practical remote control features through mobile phones for all of its models. Basic standardized functions are therefore included in all offers. Options on the demand for improved and connected experience are only available for additional costs. An annual subscription must be subscribed to be able to benefit from all the premium connectivity functions, including an extensive connectivity volume. Smart #1 Brabus, more style and up to 440 horsepower

Smart #1 passes into Brabus’ hands with an exclusive body kit and two electric motors developing more than 400 hp.

The link between smart And Brabus is historic. The German preparer has been responsible for the production of some of the hottest versions in the range in the past two decades. And it is not because the future is electric that it will be different !

Despite the fact that Smart has left Mercedes orbit to enter that of the Chinese Geely, Brabus will produce a sports version of the Smart #1 electric.

Sports accents

Smart #1 designed by Brabus adopts a nasty, aggressive look, but retains the sleek and curved design of the original version. What distinguishes the sporting version are the red inserts on the doors and bumper profiles, as well as the entirely red wing.

The bumpers themselves have been redesigned with new air intakes, while the 19-inch double-color alloy rims are distinguished on the side. Red also dominates the interior: it is found in the stitching of the seats and in the details of the dashboard and the headrests. There is also on board a leather, microfiber and alcantara upholstery and aluminum pedals.

More power

The technical specifications are still unknown. Beyond the official photos, indeed, Brabus has not yet revealed the additional power hidden in the powertrain of Smart #1.

However, according to Chinese media, the electric SUV could be equipped with a double electric motor for a total of 406 ch Or 434 hp. It would be a huge improvement compared to the already lively 272 hp of the standard version, which – remember – only has the rear electric motor.

By using the supply of all -wheel drive, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (still not announced) could be significantly lower. On the other hand, the more sporting performance and the additional weight due to the front engine could reduce the initial autonomy by 443 km. In addition to the new engine, major changes are expected in the braking system and the suspension.

When will we see the smart #1 Brabus ? The first is scheduled for August 26 at the Chengdu Automobile Fair in China. We do not yet know if and when this model will arrive in Europe.
