Scoops / renault scenic e-tech electric: the first images
Pending the official presentation which will take place at the IAA 2023 Munich show from September 4, Renault is already lifting a corner of the veil on the new generation of the scenic. The Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric will therefore be exclusively offered with an electric motor and inaugurate the new “sustainable” strategy with the diamond. Although still largely camouflaged, the series model is closely inspired by the Renault Scenic Vision concept, but does not take up the original powertrain that combined a classic battery with a fuel cell.
Photos – Renault Scenic Vision Concept (2022): Scenic 5 will be a mutant minivan
How to renew a genre in total loss of speed ? The most radical is perhaps to complete it, purely and simply. The minivan is no longer a recipe, dethroned for a long time by the ugly. Including act, and end clap for the fourth generation Renault Scenic. However, it will be well replaced, in principle by 2024. and will take the form, in broad outline, of the concept scenic vision that we discover today. Apart from the name, bigger to do with the compact minivan that we knew so far.
This is perhaps the best news: the future scenic should thus be more like a large compact bodybuilded, vaguely evoking a megane e-tech which would have mutated in crossover. He will also share the electric platform of this one (no thermal version of the Scenic on the program), with a nuance: an extension of hydrogen autonomy, in the form of a fuel cell, could make its appearance in the long term. Details in pictures.

Scoops / Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric: The first images
Renault has lifted the veil on the serial version of the Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric. Despite the camouflage, we guess the similarities with the scenic vision concept.
More crossover than minivan
Depending on the market trend, the Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric is moving away from the world of minivan to further embrace the physiognomy of a crossover. A mutation already revealed by the renault scenic vision concept of which it takes up the main style traits. Although still in rooted camouflage attire, the renault scenic e-tech electric series displays a light signature in line with the concept but also with the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric and the Renault Clio restyled. We therefore find tapered horizontal headlights and vertical half losangi on both sides of the front shield while the new two-dimensional logo still proudly sits in the center of the nose.
The long wheelbase and the very large diameter wheels of the concept are also part of the part, in the same way as the triangular custom glass and the shape of the amount C. It is at the rear that the main difference is marked through rear lights at the signing in y rather than overthrow. On the other hand, we notice the two vertical fins stalling on the sides of the bumper that have been kept for their aerodynamic role. Finally, the complex drawing of the rims also seems to have been preserved.
And under the bodywork ?
Under the hood, we should find the Motopropheur group of the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric which combines an electric motor which would develop 130 or 218 hp. The 5 -door sedan offers the choice between two 40 or 60 kWh battery packs useful. It is likely that the Scénic e-tech Electric does the same. Load capacities should also be similar. But perhaps Renault will draw from the Nissan Ariya organ bank, based on the same platform, to offer more efficient variants. Like the electric mega, pre-series models will survey the streets of Europe during the summer in the hands of Renault engineers and testers.
