After the concept of Inception presented at the beginning of the month, Peugeot has just lifted the veil on its future with a few announcements and especially a first image of its future range.

Almost two years to the day after the diamond and the announcement with great fanfare of its “Renaulution”, Peugeot has this morning unveiled its e-lion project, more simply, a taste of its future with a specific calendar and Above all, as an aperitif, an image of its future range. Explanation.

New from. 2023 !

If the lion is far from being part of the pioneers both for the hybrid and for the electric, however, it has not missed the train. Indeed, on its main market, namely Europe, Peugeot is n ° 1 on electric city cars with the E-208. On the occasion of the presentation of its e-lion project plan, the tricolor manufacturer announced its ambitions with a large product offer and gives specific appointments this year. The whole range will have at least an electrified version. Little surprise nevertheless, in addition to a 136 hp version, there will also be a 100 CH proposal with this technology.

Each Peugeot in 100% electric from 2025 !

The next step, it will be in two years. At this date each model will have at least 1 100% electric version. This rise in power is expected this year with the E-308 sedan and break SW and will extend via the recent 408. Peugeot will then complete the loop with the new generations of 3008 and 5008 which will be declined, it was a secret of Polichinelle, well in “watture”. The first will disembark this year, in the second half of the half and to be in the French manufacturer, the Stla Medium platform of the Galaxy Stellantis. For its part, the 5008 should land in 2024.

Finally, the last meeting, more distant this one, is scheduled for 2030. But it is symbolic, since the lion will start for the first time in its centenary history its first decade with a 100% electric range, at least obviously, for the European continent.

A little more surprise

The image is obviously mysterious but it gives some clues to the future of the Peugeot range. First teaching and not least, the lion should not give in to the monoculture of the SUV. The fact remains that these forecasts obviously ask to be verified. There is at least one certainty but of which we have already told you several times, the future lionesses will adopt a new light signature with three claws, the trademark of the pattern of design Matthias Hossann.
