Of course, the Peugeot E-2008 is always compatible with Apple Carplay as well as Android Auto Wireless from the first level of active finish.
A point which is also very appreciable concerns GPS navigation, which now occupies the entire screen surface, which was not the case until then. An evolution that makes the card more readable and greatly facilitates driving. It is also possible to take advantage of wireless smartphone recharge, provided, however, to opt for the most upscale GT finish or pay 100 euros to take advantage of it on the intermediate speed version. As on the DS 3 e-Tense and other Jeep Avenger, the Peugeot E-2008 does not have an integrated route planner directly into the touch screen. Driving: comfort above all Peugeot E-2008 (2023)

If this typing of amortization will undoubtedly appeal to all those who are looking for a car to mostly make the city, dynamic driving is a bit disappointing. The fault also undoubtedly to Continental Ecocontact 6 tires, which offer a fairly average grip, even on dry and hot soil. Braking is also a criticism, because the pedal feeling is quite confusing, although it is effective once you press very hard. A concern that we meet with many other cars on the market and which is not specific to Peugeot.
Management is also very flexible, which is an asset in town, but a little less in dynamic driving. And switch to sports sports will not change anything. On the other hand, the accelerator’s response is faster, which allows Make 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. Too bad the electric SUV is not equipped with the driving to a pedal. It is however possible to choose a level of regeneration in braking slightly greater thanks to mode B. We would rather have liked to find a system of driving pallets as at Kia and Hyundai for example. We appreciate the work carried out on soundproofing, even on the highway.
Autonomy, battery and recharge: always further Peugeot E-2008 (2023)
If the Stellantis group plans to bet on the LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) batteries for its next cars, in order to lower their cost, the restyled Peugeot E-218 still calls on an NCM pack (Nickel-Manganese – cobalt). The latter is provided by the Chinese giant Catl and is based on a new chemistry, with 80 % nickel, 10 % manganese and 10 % cobalt. If some might think that this is not yet enough, while many French people believe that electric cars do not yet have enough autonomy, we have noted during our test that these values are more than enough.
Because let’s not forget that the Peugeot E-2008 remains a model that is rather intended to be led to daily life rather than long distances. Especially since an electric car with a 400 km autonomy can cross France without incident, with fast recharging, as we have already proven on a Paris – Marseille route.
On this point, we especially wait at the turn of the future Peugeot E-3008, which should not be long in emerging. But what about recharge for the urban SUV ? To tell the truth, nothing changes compared to the previous version, since the maximum power is always Displayed at 100 kW in direct current, which allows the battery to be filled 20 to 80 % in less than thirty minutes.

We regret, however, an ergonomics which places the button on the conduct modes very withdrawn on the central tunnel – this requires lifting and retreating the elbow and, above all, looking for the button of the eyes – and the absence of selection of Drive modes and Brake behind the wheel which does not promote the game of electricity, especially during long descents.
Note that B mode does not allow “one pedal” driving either, That is to say until the full stop at the foot rise. It will always be necessary to use classical braking, in friction, with a rupture of linearity during a braking mode to the other. It is sometimes uncomfortable, but is not dramatic. Furthermore, always with regard to the management of the electric ecosystem, It becomes difficult to understand the absence of a planner integrated into the navigation tool car. Peugeot does propose one, but it requires the use of a connected application and its use is therefore designed rather upstream of a long journey, less in debt, thanks to a detour or a tourist stroll. All this is not very ergonomic.

With a recorded consumption of 15.8 kWh on the on -board computer on a very selective course of approximately 150 km, the 400 km are certainly out of reach (count a quarter less according to our estimate), but that remains better saying that what we had seen with the original version of 136 horsepower.
Simply too expensive
Remains a variable and not least: the price. If Peugeot had the good idea to lower the entry ticket from the E-2008 of 800 euros (to 41,150 euros), You have to add 1,450 euros To move on to this new engine. If it was sold around 5,000 euros less, the E-2008 would undoubtedly be an urban SUV not far from perfection.
