MERCEDES EQE

The Mercedes EQE electric vehicle is a more compact sedan than the EQS and based on the same electrical architecture EVA2. It has an engine with a power of 215 kW and maximum torque of 530 Nm. On the autonomy side, a 90 kWh battery will ensure up to 660 km, depending on the WLTP cycle. On the eve of the official opening of the IAA Munich show, Mercedes drew no less than four new electrical models, including the famous EQE. This vehicle is classified in the category of trendy sedans and enjoys dimensions slightly lower than that of the Mercedes EQS.

Its length, width and height reach respectively 4946, 1961 and 1512 mm, when the EQS is for example a length of 5216 mm. They share the same height on the other hand. For comparison, the Tesla Model S measures 4.97 meters long.

More enduring than the Tesla Model S, on paper

The Mercedes EQE – Electric equivalent of the E -Class – Embarks a battery with a capacity of 90 kWh, giving it a range of 660 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. It is therefore slightly less than the 770 kilometers of the EQS, but slightly more than the 652 kilometers allocated to the Tesla Grande Autonomy version.

On the recharge side, it is necessary to count on an on -board charger of 11 kW or 22 kW optional by alternating current, and a maximum load power of 170 kW on the fast terminals. The star brand assures that it can find around 250 kilometers of autonomy in the space of 15 minutes.

Inside, the German group will give pride of place to ultra connectivity and digital with, as an option, the hyperscreen Mbux and its three screens installed on the dashboard. Remote updates (OTA) will also be in order, as is the vocal assistant “Hey Mercedes” taking care of 27 languages ​​in total.

Motorization, performance and autonomy of the EQE

Second model based on EVA2 architecture, the Mercedes EQE will be offered in several configurations. For the time being, only the EQE 350 version is announced. It has a 215 kw and 530 Nm integrated engine integrated on the rear axle with a 90 kWh battery.

Varying according to the level of finish and the size of the rims, the autonomy of the Mercedes sedan varies between 545 and 660 kilometers, an average consumption spread between 15.7 and 19.3 kWh/100 km.

Recharge of the EQE

Equipped as standard with an 11 kW on -board charger, the Mercedes EQE will be able to receive an optional 22 kW charger. With a 800 -volt system, Mercedes’s electric car only tolerates 170 kW of fast recharging power via the Combo protocol.

A motorization and two finishes to start

Two finishes are offered for the EQE 350+ in France.
