Who is the best mobile operator at home ? Is 5G available in the city ? How far from you are the antennas of Orange, SFR, Free, Bouygues and SFR ?
Location of emitting stations
The issuing stations installed in Swiss territory allow the population to receive radio and television programs and access the mobile telephone network. The sites of the transmitters are identified on a synoptic map.
Which transmitter can I capture from home and what frequencies can I find the programs I’m looking for? You will find answers to these questions in our overview of issuers in Switzerland. This interactive application is simple to use: follow the instructions and choose on the map the area that interests you, until yellow points appear. These points represent the radio facilities.
You will find below a synoptic card indicating where the different installations of this type are located.
The programs broadcast and the frequencies used for this purpose are indicated for each location hosting a broadcasting transmitter. Further information concerning transmitters can be obtained from the authorities competent in environmental matters (canton or municipality).
Points of different colors indicate on the map the locations of the broadcasting stations (radio and television) as well as the basic stations for mobile telephony.
The card observatory
Welcome to the new interactive card of the observatory. Thanks to this card, you can view the deployment of mobile networks for all operators and for all technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.
The cumulatives appearing on the map in the form of bubbles represent the number of systems deployed by all operators. A system corresponds to the implementation, by an operator, on a support, of a technology (2G, 3G, 4G or 5G) on a given frequency strip. The support on which systems are deployed can in particular be a building, a water tower or a pylon. On this one is the technical equipment, transmitters and antennas, of one or more operators, which allow users to access, near the support, in the mobile service (voice or internet). Thus, e.g., A support welcoming 3G equipment of orange in 2100 MHz band and 4G equipment from Orange and Bouygues Telecom in 2100 GHz band hosts 3 systems: a 3G system of orange in 2100 MHz band, an orange 4G system in orange in orange in orange Band 2100 MHz and a 4G system of Bouygues Telecom in band 2100 MHz.
When the zoom level is sufficient, the cumulation disappears in favor of the representation of the supports in the form of pastilles. It is then possible, by clicking on a pastille, to reveal an infobulle detailing the hosted system (s) on the support concerned. The same support can indeed be used by several operators, for several technologies and different frequency bands.
Attention : the supports on this card have been authorized by ANFR. Among them, some have not yet been put into service, and therefore do not provide mobile access to the moment. You will also find on this map the supports of 4G experiments in the dom-com.

Map of mobile telephony
What are the closest mobile telephony networks of you ? Discover on our map where the 3G, 4G and 5G of Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile.
The Map of Mobile Telephone Networks
To find all the relay antennas of Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile operators located on the territory, Ariase provides you with a map of mobile sites. You can view the installations of mobile telephony networks by entering an address or zooming in on the card and thus locating the relay antennas closest to you, your workplace, your vacation destination or places you Frequent.
This card allows you to see which operator is present and if the latter uses 3G, 4G, and 5G antennas. Thanks to all the antennae locations in your area, this card gives you an indication of the quality of your reception. The latter also makes it possible to assess the mobile coverage, and to identify areas still devoid of a mobile network in France, namely white areas.

Mobile coverage in France
The vast majority of French municipalities are covered by 4G networks of mobile operators. As of January 1, 2023, 4G coverage was greater than 99% of the population at Orange, Bouygues Telecom, SFR and Free Mobile. New telephony branches are put into service each month, especially as part of the “New Deal Mobile” which aims to improve mobile coverage in white areas poorly served by 4G networks of operators.
Since December 2020, the new generation of mobile network (5G) has now been available in France. After obtaining 5G licenses at the telecoms authority (ARCEP), telecom operators began to deploy and put their 5G antennas into service everywhere in France. Like 4G, the particularity of 5G lies in the fact that this network is based on the use of several radio frequencies which each have their advantages and disadvantages. Some make it possible to cover larger areas, and others penetrate better in buildings and thus improve the quality of reception for example.
Our antennae map precisely specifies the location of 5G antennas depending on whether they are equipped with low frequency (700/800/2100 MHz in particular) or in high frequencies (3500 MHz). The latter being specifically used for 5G. It also distinguishes 4G sites from 4G+ sites that aggregate several frequencies to increase the speed and capacity of the network.
