Livebox 5 Orange: Characteristics, Price and reviews

You have heard of the Livebox 5 of Orange but do not know what its characteristics are ? You have the Livebox 4 and you hesitate to change for the Livebox 5 ? We answer your questions in this article concerning the different Orange Internet boxes.

What is Livebox 5 ?

What are the characteristics of the Livebox 5 ?

Livebox 5 is an internet box sold by Orange. This is a device that will allow you to have access to the various services offered by the Orange operator, such as the Internet, the phone or the TV. This tool is entirely dedicated to optical fiber. You will therefore not be able to have a livebox 5 without optical fiber, since the latter is not compatible with ADSL. If you want an ADSL offer, you can find out about the different ADSL boxes offered by Orange.

There are many characteristics of Livebox 5. Thanks to her, you may have:

  • Intelligent Wi-Fi: it allows you to benefit from a more stable and more efficient Wi-Fi, regardless of the home devices that are connected to it. The Wi-Fi of the Livebox 5 is said to be “intelligent”, since it automatically chooses the best frequency band to prevent your Wi-Fi from being saturated because of Internet traffic flows;
  • A reduced carbon footprint: compared to the Livebox 4, the Livebox 5 will allow you to reduce your carbon footprint by 29%. The Livebox 5 has a 100% recycled plastic surface, and the whole is lighter and more compact;
  • Shared speed: you have the possibility of having access to the flow proposed by the Livebox 5 with several devices simultaneously.

Buying the Livebox 5, you can have access to a Wi-Fi repeater. This system will allow you to extend the scope of your livebox, and thus benefit from Wi-Fi in more rooms in your home, if the latter is large.

As for dimensions, the Livebox 5 is more compact than the Livebox 4. Its dimensions are as follows: 230x185x45 mm.

What speed for the Livebox 5 ?

By choosing a livebox 5, you can have access to fiber optics. The flow proposed by this livebox can go up to 2gbit/s in downward flow (1gbit/s per device), and 600mb/s in pruned rate. For information :

  • The downhill debit is the flow that will allow you to go on the internet, download your files or watch streaming movies for example;
  • The upright debit will allow you to send files from your line, such as e-mails, photos ..

The more the speeds (amount and descendant) are high and the faster your internet connection.

The more devices connected to Wi-Fi at home, the more you will need to have a high speed. Having up to 2gbit/s down flow will allow you to have many connected devices at the same time.

How does the Livebox 5 work ?

If you are looking for a manual from the Livebox 5, you can find one on the Orange website. All explanations are detailed to allow you to set up your livebox and make the connection. In the Livebox 5 pack, you will find several elements:

  • LIVEBOX 5;
  • an installation guide;
  • a Wi-Fi card;
  • an ethernet cable;
  • a power supply;
  • an optical cable;
  • a certificate.

To connect your livebox, you will have to follow several steps:

  1. First of all, it is necessary to choose where you will place your livebox: near your optical wall outlet;
  2. Then, you will have to connect the power block to the livebox, and then to an electrical outlet;
  3. If you use the phone on the Internet, then it will be necessary to connect it to one of the blue sockets of the Livebox;
  4. You can then remove the black cap on the fiber socket, as well as the optical cable cap, and connect the latter to the fiber socket of the Livebox;
  5. Depending on the type of your optical wall socket, as well as the reference of your socket, you will be able to connect the optical cable to the optical socket;
  6. You will then only have to light your livebox.

What is the price of the Livebox 5 of Orange ?

If you want to get the Livebox 5 of Orange, prices will depend on the offer you choose. Two fiber offers are compatible with the Livebox 5. You will find in the table below a summary of the prices and characteristics of the two offers sold with the Livebox 5.

Summary of Livebox 5 offers

Fiber Livebox Livebox Up Fiber

What are the customer reviews about the Livebox 5 ?

The opinions concerning the Livebox 5 are quite mixed. If some consider that it brings many improvements, especially in terms of intelligent Wi-Fi, and that it is more ecological, by reducing its carbon footprint, others find that it is a regression Compared to the Livebox 4.

The main innovation put forward by Orange concerns the flow, which could reach 2gbit/s in downward speed. In reality, each device can only benefit from 1gbit/s to the maximum. 1gbit/s represents the maximum, since this figure will be reduced if other devices also use bandwidth.

Negative opinions also concerning the price, which increased in comparison with the Livebox 4. The offer linked to this box is therefore € 2 more expensive, and yet it does not integrate the equipment of its competitors, such as a connected speaker, a voice assistant or a hard drive.

Livebox 5 test: Orange’s consumer fiber offer always has the future ?

Orange has been offering the Livebox 5 customers for a few years already to its fiber customers. This Internet box, Only compatible with the fiber optic network, is today the box offered by default in all the operator’s offers, despite the release of the Livebox 6, reserved for the most expensive offers of the brand.

  • A stable connection in the home
  • Simple installation
  • Wi-Fi repeater allows you to take advantage of Wi-Fi 6
  • Eco-responsible box
  • Satisfactory TV interface
  • Good reactivity of the decoder
  • A minimalist design
  • No Wi-Fi 6 by default
  • No 2.5 Gbit/s port
  • Ultra-limited HDR compatibility
  • A purchase control to absent subscribers
  • High price

While its competitors have multiplied the generations of Internet boxes in just a few years, Orange seems, conversely, not so in a hurry to renew its equipment. The company unveiled in October 2019 the Livebox 5 which remains its main internet box still today, even after the launch of the Livebox 6 just a few weeks ago.

The French giant reigns as a master in the internet access provider market and does not feel the need to enter a frantic technological race. On the contrary, Orange wishes to address the greatest number with a device less advanced than its competitors, but which responds to the real problems of subscribers, namely the Wi-Fi coverage of their accommodation.

Is this promise sufficient to convince users, bait by other boxes that are ever more capable ? This is the question we will try to answer during this test.

Livebox 5: Any router that does little, but who does it

Let’s go quickly on the packaging. With this Livebox 5, Orange is engaged in an eco -responsible approach and it starts with packaging, made with recycled cardboard. No eccentricities, the different elements are simply arranged and the operator does not seek to create a “waouh” effect in his subscriber.

Inside the box, we find, in addition to the livebox: an ethernet cable, the optical cable allowing it to connect it to its fiber access, a power supply, the installation manual (rather well thought out of elsewhere) as well as a Wi-Fi card containing the password to connect its different devices.

Design

The Livebox 5 is clearly not the most elegant or original box ever seen in telecom operators. The device adopts a rectangular shape, all that is most classic and only admits a single black color. The object is however rather compact with a length of 23 cm, a width of 18.5 cm and a depth of 4.5 cm.

On the top, the tangle of lines is not necessarily very design but serves at least a technical design: allow the right ventilation of the equipment when operating.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

So certainly, it is not very very pretty, but too bad. You will not proudly expose your box on a pedestal. However, it should be noted that Orange made efforts concerning the materials used for the design of this box. The plastic is recycled from the livebox of previous generations returned to the operator, which means that the carbon footprint linked to the production of this box will be reduced by 29 % compared to the previous generation. The packaging is also made of recycled materials.

Ditto for accessories inside, placed in the box without packaging, with the exception of the fiber socket for safety issues during transport.

On the front, we can see three LED diodes, of orange color, obviously, which indicate the state of activity of the device. From left to right, we find Internet, Wi-Fi and telephone lights. It is impossible to cut them during use, or to lower their intensity. It is quite painful to have to deal with these three light sources when you want to watch a film in the dark, unless you place an opaque tape on it. So we knew more practical !

On their left, two buttons allow you to activate the Wi-Fi of the device as well as the pairing by WPS.

Connectivity and connectivity

On the back now is all the connection of the Livebox 5. From left to right, we can therefore find two sockets to connect two phones, four Ethernet 1 Gbit/s ports, a reset button, a USB socket, the fiber socket, a service button and the power supply. Finally, at the right right, a on/off button allows you to cut the Livebox 5 electrically.

The Livebox 5 is clearly trained with regard to its competitors, who mostly offer at least one 2.5 Gbit/s port. Orange now offers customers interested in the fastest speeds Livebox 6 but with an additional € 5 on the subscription compared to those including this Livebox 5. The operator has always been the most expensive on the market and proves it again here.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

The Livebox 5 also has a Wi-Fi 5 connection. Orange skipped when designing its box on Wi-Fi 6, preferring to improve Wi-Fi coverage in each home rather than betting on technology still very little present in homes.

Called “smart Wi-Fi” by the operator, this feature allows the Livebox to automatically change the channel to avoid saturation. This allows, for example, when you live in a building, to avoid using the same channel as all the inhabitants and to enjoy a maximum flow with your box.

The box also chooses between the 2.4 GHz channel and the 5 GHz channel, depending on the device and its flow needs. It is possible to separate the two channels from the administration interface to take advantage of the two frequencies independently.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

However, Orange offers a very malignant tip for all its subscribers wishing to take advantage of Wi-Fi 6. They will be enough for them to opt for the Wi-Fi repeater offered by the optional brand and to connect it directly to the Livebox 5 in Ethernet. The wireless connection of the box will be automatically cut and replaced by that of the rehearsal. The shipping and activation fees will be charged € 10 for all livebox packages.

To connect the accessory to its Internet box, you will have to go through the Ma Livebox application on your smartphone. The operation, despite an interface worked and pleasant to the eye, is unfortunately tedious and takes a good ten minutes to be completed.

Start -up and software

The first ignition of the Livebox 5 is rather long and it takes about twenty minutes so that the device detects the fiber connection, parameter and installs the last update published by the operator. Fortunately, the fixes are then installed in the heart of the night and automatically to avoid loss of service during your daily tasks.

To connect your various equipment to the Wi-Fi network, you can opt for the WPS or type the very long code offered by default by Orange and to find on the paper card present in the box.

To go further in the Livebox 5 settings, two solutions are available to you. The first, the most basic, is to go through an internet browser and type Livebox/ In the address bar.

You will access the configuration interface, extremely simple and stripped (even austere), proposed by the historic operator, which is built around the five tabs present at the bottom of the page.

The first page brings together favorite options and also adds or withdraw certain options from this access hub. For example, you can access the list of connected equipment or create invited Wi-Fi access to allow their loved ones to quickly connect to the network.

The second tab brings together various options under the “local network” banner. You will find at the same time, the history of connections, telephone calls, but also the very practical Wi-Fi planner to cut the wireless network at certain times of the day or when you go on vacation.

The third tab concerns the Livebox 5 settings, such as the interface language, but also the display of your connection information or the activation of automatic backup in the cloud of your configuration. This last option, activated by default, allows you to find your personalized settings in the event of a livebox change.

The fourth tab gives access to the Orange assistance but also to the update module to force the search for a new version of the firmware. The last tab finally is a portal to the various orange online services.

If some sections or information is not the most engaging for the general public, the operator has managed to offer a full panel that brings together the most frequently used options. It is not as complete as a Freebox OS, far ahead of its competitors in terms of features and services, but Orange delivers a rather satisfactory copy.

It is also possible to access its Livebox 5 from your mobile through the “Ma Livebox” application available both on iOS and Android. The software includes all its options, as well as “Wi-Fi pause” setting which allows you to cut the network of a particular device, such as the game console or the smartphone of one of your children if you want only to ‘He or she seriously puts herself to her homework.

Unfortunately, the application is of a sowing slowness and each opening and change of page takes dozens of seconds with many loads.

Also a shame that the interface, made up of united blocks, is so confused so much that it is sometimes difficult to find simple settings such as Wi-Fi configuration or remote restart of the box.

Our opinion on the Livebox 5

This box therefore ultimately puts more on its capacities and connectors than its aesthetics. Orange suspects that this type of device is often hidden by consumers, no need to spend a few more euros to make it a nice product that will not interest many people.

We can place it on its TV furniture or a service, and forget it a few moments later, unlike for example a freebox delta much more licked and attractive, but also more visible in an interior.

On the other hand, the Livebox 5 is doing really well on the network side and that’s all that is asked. It allows you to connect several equipment to take advantage of the best possible speed, without having to endure the vagaries of a wireless connection. Even with more than twenty devices permanently connected, the router shows no sign of weakness and dynamically distributes the connection according to the requests.

The optional Wi-Fi router is a more appreciable to get Wi-Fi 6 in the house or simply increase the blanket in the biggest houses.

In short, the Livebox is not the most complete or customizable box, but a safe bet for all those wishing a good flow everywhere in their home.

Livebox 4K UHD TV decoder: thought for the greatest number, even if it means accusing the weight of years

If Orange offers a brand new router with the Livebox 5, the associated decoder has not been renewed. The operator provides the 4K UHD TV decoder, already offered with the Livebox 4 and presented in 2018.

As usual at Orange, service activation costs are billed 40 € on subscription, a price that is always as high and incomprehensible when other operators do not impose such costs.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

Design

The Livebox 4K UHD decoder takes up the design rules applied to the Internet box and is again distinguished by its minimalism by adopting a square format and a completely classic black dress. Only this line which crosses the device offers a small originality to the device which is more thought of to blend into the mass and be invisible when you watch television. This is one of the most compact decoders offered by operators with a height of only 30 mm for a width of 126 mm.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

The device is entirely made of plastic, but like the Livebox 5, this decoder is partly designed using recycled materials.

Only small fantasy brought by orange designers: this orange diode (obviously) on the front which allows you to know when the device is in operation. The 4K UHD decoder does not have a screen or display on the front, all menus will be available from the device interface.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

The remote control provided by Orange is very fine and holds well in hand. It offers few buttons to facilitate navigation in the interfaces.

At the top, we find the button for setting up/standby. Just below a “micro” key activates the vocal assistant Djingo. If Orange has suffered a sacred backdrop in the field of connected speakers, the technology developed by the operator has nevertheless found its place in the orange decoder and allows you to seek content or launch a television channel by voice, thanks to the microphone integrated into the remote control.

Then, four steering buttons located in a false wheel allow you to head in the menus. Two return and menu keys complete this increase in the accessory.

Below, we find the volume and scanning buttons of the channels, a digital keyboard to more easily access its favorite channel or enter a code in the interface of the decoder, and finally the recording buttons if you have opted for the option dedicated during your subscription.

Connectivity and connectivity

The 4K UHD TV decoder offers at the rear the strict minimum in terms of connectors. There is indeed an HDMI port to connect it to the TV, a S/PDIF audio output for connection to an audio system, a TNT antenna socket and the power supply.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

You can also see a USB 3 port.0 which allows you to connect a hard drive, offered as an option by the operator, to record its contents. Another USB 2 port.0 is him, located on the left edge of the decoder.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

If your fiber or ADSL port is located far from your television, Orange has thought of everything by integrating a Wi-Fi 5 GHz chip which allows you to connect the box and the wireless decoder. The operation is facilitated for the subscriber with the possibility of activating the WPS to link the two boxes without having to type the Wi-Fi password thanks to the remote control.

The 4K UHD TV decoder is also equipped with a Bluetooth 4 chip.2 For the remote control and this allows the accessory to be used in a much more flexible way, without having to point the remote control towards the decoder permanently. As it stands, thanks to this connection, it is quite possible to hide the 4K UHD TV decoder in a piece of furniture to make room around the TV.

Interface

Since the beginning of 2021, Orange has launched a brand new interface to access its content. This is more modern and is largely inspired by those that can be found on Android TV boxes or on connected televisions.

Orange wishes to bring a suspicion of intelligence to its decoder and now offers a home page highlighting the recommendations based on user tastes.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

You will find, in fact, on the left of this carousel access to the direct thanks to a “see direct” button of a television channel selected according to your viewing habits. On the right, other channels are offered to you, again according to your viewing history. In total, 140 channels are provided by Orange in its TV option. It may seem a lot, but it is the least supplied bouquet compared to other operators.

By going to the right of this central part, you will find suggestions for content and services of SVOD, to discover with a direct link to subscribe directly from the decoder.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

On the upper part, you will find the full menu of the 4K UHD TV decoder with access to the VOD store, to rent or buy a film or a series as well as the replay of the different French audiovisual groups like MyTF1 or France.TV.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

TV store allows you to discover all the commercial offers offered by Orange in partnership with OCS, Canal+ or Netflix. Again, it only takes a few clicks to subscribe to these offers without going through a computer. Billing will be directly operated by Orange on your monthly subscription or directly by service, as at Amazon for example.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

Recorder allows, as its name suggests, to find all the programs recorded via the hard drive connected to the device. Note that Orange has been offering, for some time now, an option to do without the hard drive and opt for a recording in the cloud, up to 100 hours of programs. The latter is billed for 4 €/month without commitment for livebox and free subscribers for Livebox Up and Max offers, high -end formulas of the operator’s catalog.

More anecdotal, Orange offers a limited collection of video games, some of which are played on the remote control on your TV or with a controller on mobile screens or on PC. Access to the catalog is billed € 14.99/month and is offered without obligation.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

Music offers you access to radios, but also to Deezer playlists, if you subscribe to the musical streaming service, as well as a selection of video clips.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

Applications finally, gives access to a list again very limited to services designed for the decoder such as Allociné or the weather channel, but also the Media Center to read your personal content.

On the right, three icons allow you to access the parameters of your decoder, research field and notifications respectively.

The setting menu is fairly chiche and allows, among other things, to consult the connection of the device to the network, to modify parental codes for the purchase or viewing of adult content, but also to manage content suggestions or CEC settings to control your TV with the Livebox remote control.

It also allows you to activate or not the energy saving mode, so as not to leave the decoder in standby when you do not use it. The start will then be longer (about two minutes) but the device will thus consume less energy, in this way in this way in the eco -responsible approach adopted by Orange. The option is also presented as soon as the device starts.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

Finally, at the bottom of the screen, there are access buttons to the various video streaming services compatible with Livebox, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Ocs, MyCanal, YouTube and Filmo. We are surprised however that Salto, yet a 100 % French player, is not available on the box of the leading operator in market share on the hexagonal market but this is undoubtedly another debate.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

This new Orange TV interface goes in the right direction, especially compared to the old interface clearly obsolete for years. The suggestion of content is a real plus and the integration of the different SVOD services make the decoder a complete and satisfactory TV box for the general public.

We regret however that the operator, anxious to facilitate the purchase of additional content and by the same to increase his income per subscriber, does not offer an option to validate, thanks to a purchase code or a password, Subscription to a subscription. No protection exists, despite our various research, and that would not be a bad thing to prevent the youngest, but also older users to buy an option by using the decoder.

Performance

The Orange TV 4K UHD decoder includes a Broadcom 7268 Quadcore processor clocked with 1.5 GHz associated with 2 GB of RAM of RAM. The bone is based on a Linux kernel.

Obviously, the decoder cannot compete with much better equipped TV boxes such as the Nvidia Shield TV or the Apple TV 4K but the decoder allows a rather fast navigation between the channels, with an almost immediate zapping from one channel to another.

The opening of applications, such as replay or streaming services, only requires a few seconds at most before being operational. It’s a bit long for technophile and demanding users, but completely acceptable to the general public to whom the device is intended.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

The flows offered are of quality and offer a clear and detailed image, within the limits of what the different diffusers offer.

For compatible content, the 4K UHD TV decoder also offers compatibility with HDR 10 flows, but not Dolby Vision. These are only offered on videos at the request of Orange TV as well as on Netflix. Amazon Prime Video and Disney+, which however also offer many HDR content, are not compatible at the moment. Orange gives no indication as to a possible update of applications in the coming months. Certain event programs, such as football matches, can be offered on dedicated channels, of the TF1 4K type, but these programs are very rare.

For the audio part, it is a little better with the support of the Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos codecs in compatible programs.

Our opinion on the Orange 4K UHD TV decoder

Once again Orange did not try to shake up the market, but to adapt to the needs of the greatest number. Its 4K UHD TV decoder is simply the simplest copy that the operator could make, which offers a satisfactory experience, but never stunning.

Updating the software interface is to be greeted. Orange finally opens its ecosystem to third -party services and accepts the rise in streaming services in French consumption habits. The recommendation system is successful and if the Djingo voice assistant is more than accessory, it works in the simplest use cases as zapping from one channel to another.

© Mathieu Grumiaux for Clubic

However, there is still work to the Orange teams to deliver a complete product to its users. If 4K is available, compatibility with HDR programs leaves desired. We can also regret a profusion of subscription offers constantly displayed on the screen which pollute the user experience on a daily basis. Orange absolutely wants us to subscribe to additional packs, but their overexposition quickly becomes a real rejecting.

Finally, activation costs of € 40 are quite scandalous, compared to the offer offered. The Orange 4K UHD 4K UHD TV decoder does not make the weight today in front of the Freebox Pop, which takes advantage of Android TV to offer a more pleasant experience and a multitude of services or the SFR Box 8, which it, it, incorporates a better quality speaker.

Livebox 5: Clubic opinion

The historic operator has played the card of prudence with this Livebox 5 and offers a coherent and satisfactory offer, but technologically to the train compared to a much more quick competition to integrate new technologies.

Let us understand well: the Livebox 5 is not bad equipment ! On the contrary, one could recommend without blinking the offer to your friends or family as orange masters its subject. If the router ignores Wi-Fi 6 or 2.5 Gbit/s ports, these technologies only interest a limited audience and will not miss the general public who do not yet have the devices for benefit.

The observation is not the same for the 4K UHD TV decoder, which, after several years of service, begins to accuse a serious delay in competition. Orange does what it can to renew the interface and improve the software, but some limitations are simply incomprehensible today. If the TV experience is pleasant, connected televisions do better today in terms of image and sound to consume 4K HDR content of streaming platforms. Orange does not seem in a hurry to update its device, despite the pressure operated by the other three main operators and their much more advanced equipment on the subject.

The Livebox 5 offer is too expensive for what it has to offer. With a starting price of € 41.99/month, excluding promotional period, for a flow blocked today at 500 Mbit/s, and up to € 49.99 for a rate of 2 Gbit/s maximum, without Count the heresy that constitute the activation costs of television, Orange does less well than Free, to name only him, who offers more services and more debit for two euros less on his monthly invoice.

Livebox Up Fiber

With the Livebox 5 offer, Orange is focusing on continuity and services useful to the greatest number. If on the Internet box part, the operator proves his expertise with an austere but efficient device, the TV decoder draws the language and struggles to seduce in the face of much more technologically advanced competitors. The Livebox 5 is a reassuring, wise and billed internet box at a high price. The price of tranquility ?

In the least I would have added: a single USB 2 port.0
Exit the possibility of reading a 4K video without LAG from an external support

I had chosen Orange because of the fiber. Then I fled Orange because of the repeated breakdowns of the box (a recurring problem admitted to me a person in the after -sales service). Not to mention the TV interface designed by psychopaths, numerous bugs or debit far from advertising promises.
After little investigation I chose Bouygues. Free currently have no offer (pop has a catastrophic reputation and their other box does not meet my needs).
Rather satisfied with Bouygues. Ergonomic interface and equipment. And no breakdown for the moment.

“Or debit far from advertising promises. »»
So this is valid in all operators especially in Free, 8GB you never see them … Even if you have the equipment that is fine and the compatible cables.
Orange comes forward not too much over at best you have 2GB not shared it is largely tenable in fiber otherwise it is 500 MB or shared 2GB so 1GB maximum per device

Orange… lb has it… All is deceased in abroad. For pro ? Zero services … zero messaging … their connect pro offer is laughable and all that is more expensive than elsewhere … orange the operator to forget because in addition they are more expensive.

The Livebox 5, or how to lose all its settings after a power failure, because their option backup of remote setings bug completely since June 2022, and that no corrective is available ..

And the interface of their box is a disaster. Absolutely not ergonomic, slow, badly damn. But hey, apart from free, there is not much that is worth the cost level/interface level in the boxes.
The Wifi of the Livebox 5 is as efficient as the revolution, it is not glorious.

The cheapest offer + personal router for WiFi 6 and we change every year at the promotional sandstone
Last year Sosh today free at 10th
Note that Oqee at Free is a sacred added value at a time when Molotov is no longer usable

A nice very complete article. Let us not forget, however, that WiFi 6 only works for the private network and not public Wi-Fi. Which is not the case with Wi-Fi 5 embedded on the LB5. Same problem for Livebox 6 . So forget to lend your Wi-Fi with your private code because it is a risk for safety. For the moment, Orange has still not decided to implement public wi-fi on its mesh terminals.
