- What is an “Apple approved service center” ?
An Apple approved service center employs repairers certified by Apple. These repairers are trained to repair your iPhone with official components, without your warranty expiring. We also carry out repairs that fall under the manufacturer’s warranty, resulting in the cancellation of repair costs. Your product is covered by Applecare+ ? So, you will only pay the costs related to this insurance. Repairs by non -certified parties will be carried out without official components and will result in the remaining guarantee. In addition, you will not be able to use the manufacturer’s warranty.
If the model of your device is not on this page, we unfortunately cannot repair it. The component you want to have repaired is not in the list ? It is not necessarily bad sign. Your remaining warranty will always be maintained after repair. If your device is still covered by the 2 -year warranty period, repairing a manufacturing defect will not cost you anything. However, we will charge € 19.50 examination fees if you decide to cancel the repair after recording your product. This sum is used to compensate for the time that our repairer has invested in recording and repair.

Independent Repair Provider

Where to have your iPhone repaired other than Apple Store ?
Having your iPhone repaired has sometimes become complicated in the Apple Store. One of the big players in the Apple after -sales service in France, Maintronic, the first to have obtained approval on iPhone repair, manages SME, large accounts but also individuals. It has agencies in certain cities without Apple Store (Bourges, Rouen, Avignon, Limoges, Pau, etc.).
Vincent Saurel, Director of Large Accounts and Partners, explains that the services offered do not differ from those found in Apple Store. The meetings are not compulsory and according to the stock of parts, the device is repaired on site or kept within 48 hours, at best. Not all CSAAs are empowered to repair iPhone. If you have one near you, this is the first question to ask them. This information also appears in each identity sheet of the APR in the Apple Store app. You should also know that not all repairs are carried out on site. This is the case for a battery, for a damaged Touch ID button or a faulty photo sensor.
On the other hand, as soon as there is a replacement of the screen or a defective motherboard, the phone makes a round trip to Apple, in the center of Breda … in the Netherlands. Non -approved repairers
Another option is to go see repairers who work outside the Apple approved brands circuit. We have tested twice with the Lyonnaise agency in Macboutic (also present in Dijon and Montpellier). The first time was for an iPhone 5 battery affected by a problem recognized by Apple, that of the sudden extinction of the phone while its battery is still busy. This battery having already been replaced once, Applecare did not want to intervene again, despite the repetition of the phenomenon identically. The second time, you had to change the fairly tired home button from an old iPhone 4.
The interventions were carried out in less than an hour, without an appointment and according to flat-rate prices displayed on the site (respectively € 49 and € 59). These repairs on our iPhone were carried out at the end of September and mid-October, there has not been to complain so far.
Otherwise you can buy these parts for cheap at all on Amazon (8 € for example for the battery and € 1.5 for the button). There are many tutorials on the internet to dismantle these iPhone, but you will have to be sure of your skill. In addition, if a button or an iPhone back are trivial elements, we will be more suspicious with a battery. Customer comments are eloquent on this subject. The least cautious can also be abused by an article indicated as from Apple when the apple will never sell such parts on Amazon or elsewhere.
