A new color for the iPhone X

The iPhone with 6.1 inch LCD screen provided by Apple for the end of 2018 could be declined in five colors that are out of the ordinary, a little like what the iPhone 5C had offered at the time. It could be available in gray, white, blue, orange and red. Yellow and white colors are also mentioned by another source. A price around 700 euros is suggested. The iPhone X Plus could be entitled to a gold color and a double SIM port.

iPhone 2018: Double SIM and 5 colors announced

The Macatokara site confirms that this iPhone will be entitled to eccentric colors. Citing sources from Apple suppliers, the media, however, announces somewhat different colors: white, black, yellow, orange, blue and taupe. No gray or red here, but white and yellow. We will undoubtedly have to wait until September and the keynote to be definitively fixed.

As with the iPhone 5C, Apple chosen a “low cost” smartphone according to its own standards to offer a little variety in terms of colors. Indeed, this iPhone with 6.1-inch LCD screen should cost around 700 dollars in the United States, or around 700 euros in France after conversion and add taxes. An affordable variant when we expect two other much more expensive iPhone at the same period:

• An iPhone XS/X2/2018 with 5.8 -inch OLED screen sold between 800 and 900 euros, an evolution of the iPhone X without new major feature
• An iPhone X Max with 6.5 -inch OLED screen sold for 1000 euros, Apple having decided to start on the steps of the phablet. This model would benefit from a double SIM port (a first for Apple)
• The 6.1 ″ iPhone 9 is entitled to 3 colors, red, white and blue according to the site Slashleaks photo.

One of the main reasons for this price difference between the 6.1 -inch iPhone LCD and the other two is of course the cost of OLED technology. LG will provide up to 4 million OLED screens to Apple for the iPhone X Plus but is not yet able to produce this kind of mass slabs as needed by the Cupertino firm. Which leaves the field open to Samsung, which provides all the others, to negotiate at their ease and impose strong prices. And since we were in the colors, Ming-Chi Kuo has another information on this subject: the iPhone X Plus could be available in gold color.

A new color for the iPhone X?

New leaks evoke the release of a third version of the iPhone X, scheduled for the next few weeks.

Will we be entitled to a new version of the iPhone X before the September conference ? This is likely, according to the Japanese site – often well informed – Macotakara. According to an article published on March 25, Apple would think of releaseing an iPhone X of an unprecedented color, in order to “relaunch sales”. This information follows other rumors, notably from Benjamin Geskin, also used to leaks. The latter mentioned the imminent arrival of an iPhone X color “Blush Gold”, currently under production.

The choice of such a color would not be incoherent with the rest of the Californian company range. Currently, it markets its iPhone X in color “silver” and “sidereal gray”. For their part, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 are also available in “gold” color, which seems to be closer to what Apple could foresee for its iPhone X.

Still according to the Macotakara site, Apple would also prepare to release a new version of the iPad, which would serve to refresh the models released last year. It would therefore not be the same products as those which will be presented at the conference of this March 27. Dedicated to education, the event should be an opportunity for Apple to announce a new, more affordable iPad.
