In addition to having no micro transition to black when you go from one module to another, we keep the same colorimetric rendering and the light remains homogeneous. A rarity that must be reported and put to Apple’s credit which took the trouble to calibrate its modules in the factory at the time of assembly and then worked its software partition so that it links everything. Thus, we can only appreciate the efforts made by Apple to reduce the distortions linked to the ultra-angle. Sometimes the straight lines are a little curved, and undoubtedly the software correction could have been more advanced, nevertheless the result is really good.

We will however specify a point, especially true in low light. We have noted a little degradation at the end of “digital zoom” when we go from the ultra grand angle to the big angle with the wheel. No doubt this is the price to pay for this fluidity of use.

In addition, we noticed on several shots caught in ultra large-angle while the light was discreet that certain areas were a little too lit, not burned but a little sharp. Perhaps there will be some adjustments to make on this side, both on the side of Apple and on the user side.

Indeed, when the light drops, the night mode of the iPhone 11 is triggered automatically. Very good news as a general rule, because it makes it possible to lead an image dominated by dark areas. However, the result is a little missed. In this case, do not hesitate to play manually a little with the exposure time, as the iPhone offers. It’s up to you not to move.

It should also be noted that the Night mode of the iPhone 11 is not the almost magical equivalent of the P30 Pro, capable of taking out an exploitable shot in full darkness. Here, it is a gain of a few diaphragms offered to us, a surplus of light brought to save a photo at the end of the evening or a portrait of sleeping child in the darkness. In these cases, the noise is rather well managed and, once again, the well -returned colors.

Even if we are preparing you a big photo test of the new iPhones, give some details on the quality of the shots. As we said, Apple continues to capitalize on its know-how in terms of color rendering, the exhibitions are neat and pleasant. As a rule, the photos taken are therefore very flattering and attractive, especially on the iPhone screen. If we open them on a computer or zooms a little, we will see however that Apple continues in the same vein with regard to the dive and the structuring of the details. In full focal length (without digital zoom), there is a small tendency to flattens that blur the outlines, the forms. When we used the digital zoom, flattens quickly become watercolor.

The result is not bad, let’s keep in mind that we are on a smartphone, but we wonder what the iPhone would give with larger sensors or better opening. In this case, the iPhone 11 is a good camera, but cannot compete with the tenors of the domain, Huawei P30 Pro in mind even if its color treatment is much better.

In addition, Apple worked on its strong point, the video. In 4K to 60 images per second, the result is impressive, especially when the light is there, you suspect it. But what brings the video out of the lot on the iPhone 11 is the quality of stabilization. We can now walk, run or move around the subject (or at the same time as him) without getting too shaken video.

More anecdotal, although it may become a phenomenon, the TrueDepth camera on the facade is also improved.
