How to activate your Red by SFR SIM card ?
If you have just taken out a RED by SFR mobile package, you must activate your SIM card in order to normally use your smartphone and be able to connect it to the mobile network of your operator (here the SFR network, mother house of RED). Activate your new Red SIM card having kept your phone number
This is the easiest case to treat. If you have left your former operator and ask Red to carry out the portability of your phone number, the SIM card then automatically activates. The exact date to which the SIM card will automatically activate is communicated to you by e-mail or SMS according to your contact preferences. It is possible to modify the date of activation of the line up to three days before the scheduled date. Just access the “order monitoring” section of your customer account.
Activate your new Red Sim card with a new phone number
If you have opted for a new phone number, you will have to activate your SIM card yourself at its reception (or later if you wish). To do this, log into your Red Customer Account. In the “Offer and Mobile” section, go to the “Mobile” tab and go down to the “SIM card” section. You can then click on “Activate your SIM card”. Find out the SIM card number (available on the card itself and the documents sent to RED) and click on the validation button. Once you have received RED confirmation by message, your SIM card is activated. Check that everything works well trying to send an SMS, make a call and connect to the 4G network.

I keep my old number
If you are a new Red by SFR customer and you have asked for the storage of your number, your SIM card is automatically activated .
For activation with portability to Red, the average activation time is 6 days after your order (unless you have chosen another date when subscribing).

The automatic activation date is communicated to you by SMS or Email .
You can change the activation date of your new line up to 3 days before the scheduled date by logging into the “Order follow -up” section of your Red Customer Account.

If you are a new Red by SFR customer and you have opted for a new line number then your SIM card will be activated on delivery .
My SIM card is delivered but not activated
You can just activate it from your RED customer account:

- Click on “Activate your SIM card”,
- Enter the SIM card number and validate.
