How long will my transfer take to arrive at my beneficiary ?

The time your transfer takes to reach your beneficiary depends on the currency you transfer and the country to which you transfer money.

Local, in Euro (EUR):

Transfer to banks in the SEPA region (you will find the complete list of countries that make it up here). Normal SEPA transfers can put up to 2 working days to reach your beneficiary. If you made the transfer after 5:00 p.m. this, it will most certainly be treated the next working day.

If the beneficiary bank is part of the instant SEPA system, the transfer can be received in a few seconds. To find out more, please consult the article “What is instant sepa transfers ? »» FAQ.

Local, in book Sterling (GBP):

Transfer to banks in the United Kingdom in GBP are subjected to 2 distinct cases:

• FASTER PAYMENTS: They can take up to a few hours. Your bank must support this type of transfer and the amount must be less than 250,000 GBP.
• Chaps transfers: These transfers are generally received the same day, but can put up to 1 working day. Chaps is used when transfers are greater than 250,000 GBP or if your bank does not support Fast Payments transfers.

National swift transfers:

Thanks to Revolut, you have the possibility of making transfers to certain countries in the national currencies of the countries in question, costs and reduced deadlines. International (cross -border):

All the transfers made in currencies other than that of the country of the bank, towards banks almost everywhere in the world (you will find here a list of countries which are not taken care of) are made via the network Swift and usually put 3 to 5 working days To reach the recipient’s account. If you make the transfer after 3:30 p.m. CE, it will most certainly be treated the next working day.

Swift is the slowest type of transfer and (intermediate) treatment banks often charge costs. We therefore recommend the use of local information when possible.

Other useful information:

Always check the information provided concerning the beneficiary before finalizing any transfer. If you use erroneous information, you will have to wait longer and encounter problems with the transfers in question.

The transfer deadlines mentioned above are only effective from the moment when the transfer is issued and sent to the bank. This moment may be different from that when the transfer request has been recorded.

Instant SEPA transfers allow you to send and receive transfers in euros in the SEPA region in a few seconds and at any time (including weekends and holidays). Your Revolut Business in EUR account supports instant SEPA transfers at no additional cost !
