Gaya Bike – Multiplate and connected electric bikes, Gaya Test The Cargo: our full opinion – Electric bike – Fundroid
Gaya test the cargo: a family electric bike, ultra equipped and cut for beginners
The press release received on June 7 made these words exactly: “”Gaya: a new brand of connected electric bikes is investing in the VAE multiplaces market. These new electric bikes, multiplaces, modular, connected, comfortable and accessible were imagined by Amélie Guicheney when she had her baby 2 years ago in order to improve “daily life, and this in an eco -responsible / approach eco -citizen. A mission company, Gaya acts to reduce carbon impact, reinvent urban life, enhance French know-how and make this “soft mobility” accessible.””

Gaya, the electric bike to roll solo, duet or family.
What the press says
We tested Gaya, a Parisian electric bike, affordable and full of good ideas
20 minutes was able to test the “compact” in a 400 km road trip to Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. Newcomer to the jungle of sweet mobility, the French manufacturer Gaya arrives on the electric bike market with two models full of innovations, good ideas at aggressive prices.
Gaya on BFM Business
Amélie Guicheney, CEO & Co-Founder de Gaya, was the guest of François Sorel on June 28, 2022 to present Gaya, the new brand of connected electric bikes that undertakes to simplify the city. See the video by clicking here !
Meeting with Amélie, co-founder of Gaya
“Today, in Paris, Amélie uses Gaya bikes, prototypes that she will soon produce with her start-up still in the start. Ambition: Create bikes that meet the requests of urban people and sell them on the internet. Namely, secure, practical, compact, connected, sustainable, repairable and above all suitable cycles, especially for women and parents “
Gaya launches two enticing electric bikes for families at aggressive prices
Any new French brand of electric bikes, Gaya is making its debut with a solid and promising project: to provide an urban mobility solution to families via an offer of two VAE Longail capable of transporting one to three people at the rear. All at an aggressive entry price.
Gaya, the new brand of electric bikes dedicated to the family
Imagined by Amélie Guicheney, a young mother who wanted to improve “daily life in an eco -responsible or eco -citizen approach, and make” sweet mobility “to the greatest number, Gaya intends to decrease the carbon impact by reinventing the family life of families.
Gaya, another vision of cargo bicycle
Gaya is the story of a start-up born from the meeting of a young mother, Amélie Guicheney, eager to find an effective, safe and environmentally friendly solution to move around town with her Son, and a man experienced in the mobility and VAE sector, Jacques Bonneville formerly boss of Matra. Gaya Bike is therefore the association of experience and the desire to undertake in order to improve the city in which we evolve.
Gaya launches the first Connected Multiplace VAE
The VAE Cargo – or Multiplace – is increasingly used in cities and for certain interurban journeys. Gaya also offers that it is connected and with a Made in France repairable battery. From its creation, Gaya chose to register in its mission business statutes: “democratize access to malignant, innovative and sustainable micro-mobility solutions”.
Clever and lasting bikes for urban areas
Early 2021. While the tourism stop leads Amélie (co-founder of Gaya) to leave Evaneos, she embarks on entrepreneurship. A few months later, Gaya was born, a brand of clever and durable bikes for urban, taking advantage of an IoT and a repairable battery, both made in France. The first models arrive in the spring and will be visible at the Gaya workshop on the St Martin canal, in Paris.
French electric bikes that are both versatile, connected and repairable
“We want to offer a very versatile bike in order to simplify the pendulum experience. We also work the ecological impact a lot from its manufacture, especially on the longevity of the battery. We also want to offer a not too expensive and inclusive French bike.””
Gaya wants her “velorution”
Multiplace, modular, connected, comfortable and accessible, so the Gaya bicycle is defined, a new actor in the VAE park. It will be noted that the battery is French and says it is “repairable in less than 10 minutes”. The models are customizable at the time of online purchase.
“Make my son grow in a better world”
They created boxes that resemble them: “I also wanted to create something inclusive, accessible, who connects people” explains Amélie Guicheney, co-founder of Gaya in management
Gaya test the cargo: a family electric bike, ultra equipped and cut for beginners
While the prices of electrical assistance bikes are line the ceiling, the young French brand Gaya takes the opposite by going to draw into the world of Dutch scooter and bicycle to produce a hyper accessible family model, easy to use and offering some features very practical. Here is our Gaya Cargo test.

Gaya the cargo

Leaving your job, associating with someone who knows the world of business that you want to climb and launch a longtail cargo bike with electric assistance type. This is the project of the young French brand Gaya. We tested one of the two models of this company: the longtail cargo model more exactly, the other being the same bike, but with a shorter rear axle.
A daring bet since Amelie, creator of the brand, wanted to make this type of bicycle accessible to the greatest number, both technically and economically. It is also offered at 2,500 euros excluding options, 500 euros less than the BTWIN Longail de Décathlon (but the same price with equivalent equipment). We tried the machine for two weeks (500 km) and we were pleasantly surprised.
The model was loaned to us by the brand and the configuration of the test with a strapontin, a Thule child seat and the protective frame costs just under 3000 euros. It is less than half the price of a mustache on Monday 20 or a Tern GSD. Gaya even offers the luxury of a well -developed application and an integrated tracker with remote locking system. Just that.

Design
The swan neck is characteristic of bikes with organic design, soft, recalling the Dutch cycles of yesteryear. This is the Gaya brand bias. A stylistic approach that is logical given the amateur target targeted. On the other hand, this anachronism is not ideal side resistance of materials. The frame must be reinforced almost everywhere, so add more material and therefore more weight. That said, the longtails likely flirt with 30 kilos, we are no longer a few pounds ready and this one pays the luxury of staying around 26 kilos, equipment included.
Gaya’s choice is not our favorite. Admittedly, the clearance makes it possible to step down without the slightest effort its bike, but it is then impossible to hold the bicycle by tightening it between his legs.
The finish is correct and the artisanal aspect is felt a bit. Let’s pass the welds that are not very pretty, to better dwell on the general assembly which is average. The wiring, for example, is robust, if not discreet.

The bike has a soft and organic design. Note also that the required size starts at 1m60m. General geometry and seatpot allow 1m85 templates to take the handlebars without physical constraint. Also, the hanger adjusts to perfect the driving position. Beyond that, it is starting to be complicated. The model exists in “lagoon” green. Our test model has a sober and discreet “lagoon blue”.
If the template is strong, the weight of 26 kg with the battery and the child structure is lower than the competition. The aluminum frame must help. However, it seemed much heavier during the test.
Note that it is impossible to enter it in a conventional elevator. You will have to find where to park it. But we will come back to this point further, because the bicycle has several anti -theft solutions.
Good series
The bike is sold for 2500 euros with a lot of standard equipment and hang on, those that we tend to find on scooters rather than bikes. The headlight at the front is also from the motorcycle universe. To this is added a horn, a real one, which is heard very, far, by people installed in cars with leafy glazing.
Obviously, the usual doorbell is part. Add a stop fire that lights up when you brake. You find it obvious ? Yet the VAEs who offer are rare. But the top of the top comes back to the indicators, here too recovered from scooters. It’s crazy, it’s good and we’ll talk about it later.

The mudguards are standard, and it’s not bad. The wheel blocker on the front wheel also.
Several options are also available during the site configuration, via a configurator inspired by those of car manufacturers or tech devices.
- The choice among 4 batteries: two classics of 450 and 600 Wh; Two other somewhat special since made in France and which can easily change the defective cells;
- The fast charger which costs 50 euros more;
- The passenger kit (230 euros, allows you to affix footrests, wheel protections and 2 cushion type seats);
- The cargo child kit (390 euros) which takes up the footrests, the cushions and adds a metal structure surrounding the small passengers;
- Baby seats Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi at 150 euros each (2 maximum).
You can have fun making your configurations here.
Connectivity
Gaya bike comes with its application. It aims at the general public and therefore the application must be simple and effective.
Available on iOS and Android, it allows you to trace your bike or lock it and unlock it remotely via an ESIM card integrated into the bicycle. We can thus geolocate his mount. Note that “remotely” means that you can lock your bike even by being in another country. And see where it is in real time. Removing the battery is not a problem, since geolocation – offered for 2 years, then 60 euros per year – is still active without it, for 30 days. Gaya Bike added an internal battery dedicated to this geolocation.
In terms of info, this application offers a total report of journeys made, kilometers traveled, average speed and even the amount of CO2 saved (in relation to what, this is the big question).

The Gaya counter is tiny, but in color. He is basic in his use and that is what he is asked. The small buttons are not ergonomic and far too small. Pressing it with gloves is delicate.
A button on the side allows you to turn on and turn off the bike.
The pedestrian button helps to tow your cycle. It is useful for the slopes for example, especially if we loaded the races behind, or we got children.
On the screen, on the left, two buttons, one above the other, allow you to change assistance mode. Another lights the lights. A last button allows you to scroll through the news, written in fly legs and therefore not readable. The speed is for its part perceptible without worry.

Conduct
The general driving of this Gaya is controversial: formidably pleasant for people who do not like to cycle, detestable for budding cyclists. The bicycle has a rather strange distribution of masses, aborts any desire to tickle the time and offers the dynamics of an elephant under the influence of codeine. But for people who want to move by pedaling a little and not “bicycle”, it’s perfect.
An approach that absolutely does not make you want to test something else when you discover the VAE by this kind of bike. The driving position, Dutch cycle way is totally in the spirit of the bicycle. The right back does not suffer, the efforts are well distributed.
The width of the side bars coincides with that of the handlebars. If the front passes, the back passes. But the template is imposing. If sneaking between cars does not pose a problem, the handling is problematic.
On the road, however, it’s a treat. Motorcycle genes are felt. It is mainly the experience with other road users that is successful: indicators, stop fire, the real horn (Parisians love it) and the rear view mirror make it possible to make others understand what we do. Because we use elements of the highway code. It avoids having to raise your arm and partially let go of the handlebars. Handlebar that dances salsa as soon as he can.

During a journey, during an exchange with several motorists, we learned that not only was this whole visible despite the height of his van, but that in addition, it reassured them by explaining our intentions.
The tires are not the most members of the drawer. Drought requires, we tried them on dry soil for almost the whole test. Forget the muddy tracks. All terrain is not on the agenda. Even if the Gaya is able to go down a sidewalk.
Luckily, the last day of the test, the rain was invited. We found that on wet ground, the tires are very average and we advise you to forget the beauty of pearly white for a more adherent eraser.
There remains this template, imposing, difficult to move when we are not on it. Maneuvering the beast requires a little concentration. Despite a short turning radius, the small wheel at the front and the length of the bicycle make the foot-to-land trips delicate.

Comfort
The big saddle will require, like all stools, to be made to your seant. The style is there, the comfort will depend on the posterior of each and each. The geometry of the bicycle makes it rather pleasant once launched. The first laps are hesitant, between inertia and time set by the engine to start. But the “Boost” command makes the difference, as we will see a little further.
There is no suspension on Gaya. Large tires try to absorb the road’s roughness, but donkey’s backs are violent. Especially for people sitting at the rear, on the rear wheel more precisely, who undergo the oscillation full.
But the big problem of Gaya, which was found on the mustache on Monday 20 by the way, is this two -pointed fork. Designed to allow the positioning of the large lighthouse, it weighs heavy. The inertia it generates in the direction is colossal. Inertia which generates a handlebar with large amplitude. The handlebars vibrate a lot.
Hand withdrawal is instantly translated into strong handlebars of the handlebars. It must be admitted that the basket at the front did not argue in the favor of this poor fork.
Engine, transmission and electrical assistance
The Chinese original engine is located in the rear wheel hub. Assistance is based on a duo rotation and torque sensor. But honestly, we are still looking for the couple sensor. The choice of this engine was made for practical reasons: it is very easy to program what you want, in particular the circulation of information between the engine and the system. Which facilitates the operation of the tracing. Obviously, this choice also has economic reasons.
Gaya has a secret weapon, located on the right of the hanger: a “boost” wheel. Fun, since Vanmoof offered the same thing on his S3. Concretely, by pressing on it, the bike accelerates almost alone up to 24 km/h. Just run the pedals which then offer no resistance. A scooter effect that will slide hot tears on the cheeks of purists. But Gaya didn’t what to do.
Because the target of this bike is the “casu”, the general public, those who embark on the bicycle and seek a tool of pleasure, easy, fun and practical.
As with Vanmoof, this option literally kills the desire to take this big machine on the road to the strength of the calves. Besides, know that there is almost no pleasure in pushing the effort on bikes as heavy and not very suitable for performance.
Assistance is therefore very assistant. You are free to reduce your help to the minimum by activating the “eco” mode, but you will only do it when the 45 km of minimum autonomy (difficult to do less, even in winter) will be insufficient. Another possibility: a fairly steep and endless slope. The couple are not most suitable for this kind of climbs, especially if you are loaded.
It is said and repeats it, there is nothing more pleasant and “natural” than an engine in the crankset. The scooter effect is omnipresent, but the pleasure of pedaling is not there. Only the joy of moving on a bike is felt.
But the positive side is that the Shimano Tourney group, an entry -level group, does not suffer from the 50 nm maximum torque. Unlike the Deores who go wrong with the coupleux engines.
If you want to cycle and not just travel by bike, this Gaya is not for you. On the other hand, novices not particularly confident will find their brands quickly.
Brakes
Braking is entrusted to a cable disk system (therefore non -hydraulic). The system comes from Tektro. Ventilated discs are 180 mm in diameter. All these beautiful people offer good responsiveness and progressiveness more than correct. We are obviously not at the level of a good hydraulic, especially on the side of the famous progressiveness.
We did not spare the system, with a descent that allowed us to reach a small 45 km/h. Braking was longer than a hydraulic equivalent on a speed of 60 km/h. But brought back to 25 km/h, it is enough. On the other hand, the endurance of the system is not huge.
On wet ground, this is another lemonade. As said previously, the rainy weather invited itself on the last day of the test.
The wheels tend to easily block as soon as you brake hard. The brakes are less progressive than hydraulics, you will have to be soft with the controllers. A problem more tire -related than the braking system.
Autonomy
Our tests have been done, for some time now, on a fairly formidable journey for the autonomy of a VAE. A mixed 20 km course that has a long 4 km hill. By adding the cold in additional constraints, Gaya’s autonomy, with the battery of 400 Wh of capacity, reaches 41 km just. It’s not huge. It takes 150 euros more for the 500 Wh model.
You still have to enhance this radius of action if the typology of the field that you borrow is clearer and flat, associated with favorable climatic conditions. The weight of the user or user also plays in the equation, as well as the rear load. In this case, we estimate that the range of action can reach approximately 55 kilometers.
This 400 Wh battery requires 4 hours of load with the 2 A charger. For 50 euros more, the 4A charger divides almost by two time. On the battery, the charge indicator is made up of 4 LEDs.
Good news: the battery is removable, with a key that serves as a lock. Then just slide it up to remove it. On the side of it, an O/I switch makes it possible to extinguish it to load it, knowing that it has no influence on the watch system and geolocation.
Price and availability
Accessible from 2,500 euros, the Gaya The Cargo, of Longtail type, costs 2740 euros with the high capacity battery and the fast charger. Add to that 390 euros for the child passenger kit (footrest, double cushion seat, sidebar and wheel protection). Or 3130 euros in real prices, which is closely talling the decathlon model. Note that the rack at the front to fix a basket is standard.
Geolocation is offered for 2 years. It then costs 60 euros per year.
Anti -theft and assistance insurance is possible for 180 euros per year. It offers 24/24 and 7/7 repair assistance, replacing the bicycle in the event of a flight for a deductible of 140 euros and the insurance of passengers and cyclists.
Finally, Gaya offers a home interview for 180 euros per year. At this rate, you are entitled to an air chamber change and two pairs of brake pads.

Gaya is a new brand that arrives in the world of Longtail bicycle. A two -seater electric bike (whatever, not really¹) with rounded lines. Is it still yet another proposal for Longtail electric bike, in the now, relatively long list of manufacturers who have launched on this market ? The answer below, with a little bad faith, a lot of sincerity and enthusiasm.
Gaya ? Xavier, I don’t want to go
Gaya, a new VAE brand arrives in our cities. I confess it, I didn’t have a crazy desire to attend the presentation cocktail. The press release looked like a Bullshit Bingo. A succession of shot clichés and elements of languages, read rather:
The press release received on June 7 made these words exactly: “”Gaya: a new brand of connected electric bikes is investing in the VAE multiplaces market. These new electric bikes, multiplaces, modular, connected, comfortable and accessible were imagined by Amélie Guicheney when she had her baby 2 years ago in order to improve “daily life, and this in an eco -responsible / approach eco -citizen. A mission company, Gaya acts to reduce carbon impact, reinvent urban life, enhance French know-how and make this “soft mobility” accessible.””
Nothing innovative in discourse for a brand that wants to be. Innovative: “Connected”, “Eco-responsible”, “Mission company”, “Re-inventing urban life”, “”French know-how“”. All boxes are checked and frankly, to the west and reading this press release, nothing new. I plague and reluctant to the task. A real mule that does not want to move forward. This is without counting on the rise of Xavier suspenders.
Jérôme, you go where I get angry all red
It is almost in these terms that Xavier invites me to go to the Gaya workshop, at 93 quai de Valmy in the 10th in Paris, on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Also, he reminds me that for almost 15 years, he has been traveling the world on the lookout for novelties. In doing so, he was able to find the Success Story today. He also reminded me beyond the discourse, that there will certainly be catchy elements to find by taking a closer look at this new brand. Finally he flattered me (the guy, which manager!)) “I know you will find smart things to say about this brand, Weelz! count on you. The world is counting on you “.
“Bike is first of all men and women and meetings and adventures”
Gaya is who ?
So I went there. Especially since I gladly recognize it, the Gaya in the photo has a good look of their own and interesting. I will not serve you the elements of language of the press release (it’s already done, see above if you have forgotten). Let us be interested in people, because bicycle is first men and women and meetings and adventures (I could write press releases, I think).
Gaya, it’s a bit of Jacques Bonneville (like the Triumph, mythical !))
I discussed with one of the two founders, Jacques Bonneville. Car engineer, he spent twelve years at Matra, “The brand belonged to the Lagardère group, I took care of the development of the range of electric bikes, a brand that was sold to the Easy Bike group in 2015“”. Note that in 2010, the Matra I-Step Tourer won the Grand Prix of the City Bike, Xavier was already talking about it, there (like what, when Xavier asks me to move because he has been doing it for 14 years, he is not wrong).
After Matra, he (Jacques, not Xavier, let’s be precise) offers his advice (in exchange for remuneration anyway) to actresural companies in electric two -wheeled mobility. San Francisco’s self-service scooters and self-service bikes in Taiwan. It also takes a tour of Peugeot, as vice president Electric Vehicles in the Motocycles division. (He didn’t tell me, an investigation pushed into LinkedIn will teach me). In summary Jacques, the two electric wheels, he knows and it is reassuring somewhere since he offers us electric assistance bikes.
Gaya, it’s a bit of Amélie Guicheney (like Pierre the writer and director)
There may be no relationship between Amélie and Pierre who have the same surname. Maybe there is one and to tell you the truth, no matter for the rest of this article dedicated to Gaya. Amélie made her weapons in large distribution, Sara Lee, Carrefour, Procter and Gamble. Also a 7 -year -old passage at Vertone (strategy consulting firm) and another 4 years at Evaneos (online travel agency) give him luggage to make his motto offered by Vertone: “Dare and surpass yourself to build the world of tomorrow“”. For Amélie, the world of tomorrow will be by bike (connected, modular, multiplace, comfortable, accessible, etc. “(Return to the quote from the press release if necessary, it’s a little higher).
Gaya is also 6 other employees or trainees
Don’t want me, I didn’t meet them all. On the other hand, it is interesting to note that the brand has existed since May 2021, that today in June 2022, there is not yet a bike sold on the. There are still 8 people working at Gaya. Starting your bicycle brand, you need solid kidneys.
Gaya, is this a concept ?
No, Gaya, it’s concrete. A physical store, as said above, on the very processed – quays of the Ourcq canal in Paris 10. This place, baptized workshop, is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It serves as a showroom, office, test center, workshop to mount accessories on bikes, to maintain bikes, repair them if necessary.
Gaya, live distribution (via the web therefore)
One of the brand’s promises, be accessible. It means being available everywhere. The web is therefore completely indicated. Of course, it will probably be necessary to go through a network of ambassadors/drivers to show, have bikes test.
Accessible, it is also the price. The Gaya Compact, catalog price, without accessory, is offered at 1700 €. Gaya Longtail (longer) comes out at 2300 €. This second version is around 5% more expensive than Decathlon’s proposal on a bicycle on the comparable program, we mentioned it here. When the blue brand’s proposal incorporates accessories, the Gaya bike is naked, but equipped with a serial tracker (Velco). On arrival, the more than one, compensate about the less than the other price.
Finally accessible, it is an easy to handle bike. We haven’t tried it. To the eye, the bike is placed low on its 20 -inch wheels, probably comfortable with its section 2 tires.4 and its spring saddle. The drawing, Cog de swan with the Dutch will make it easy to span, whether you wear ultra slim jeans or a pencil skirt (neither is ideal for pedaling, by the way, the pencil skirt is probably worse than ultra slim pants). The brand announces the bicycle cut for a (or) pilot which measures between 1m55 and 1m85. Still has a little ambitious eye !
Gaya, a two -seater, lit and connected electric bike
Yes, one of the visual features of the bicycle is the presence of this huge round lighthouse under the front basket, itself declined by a pair of indicators (which are also present at the back). We are still not convinced of the relevance of the presence of indicators on bikes. If this reassures the owners, great good do them (under conditions that they use it correctly. Which is not won if we refer to the misuse of the indicators present on motorized vehicles and the frequent oblivion to use it). The presence of a stop fire seems to us a little more relevant at a time when the cycle paths are more and more congested.
Connected ? Jacques confirms that there is a Gaya app available on iOS and Android. I am still looking for this app in my Apple Store. She will come later ? Maybe. Do we need an app to use a bicycle ? This is the other question. Maybe Jacques meant to tell me that it is the tracker who makes the bike connected. (Edit of 06/27/2022: the brand informs us that they work on it and that the app will be ready at the same time as the first bike)).
Transport people with French batteries and a Chinese engine
The compact (and the longtail) are approved to transport up to 160kg 1 (as well as an edict dated from 06/27/2022 at the foot of the page following a message from the brand)). It will therefore be a joy to be your traveling companions, with two adults (up to 3 children and an adult for Le Longail), to spin chill along the Ourcq canal, until. Much further than Pantin (the brand announces up to 100km of autonomy). In this regard, two batteries are offered, 450 or 600 Wh. They come from Gouach. The Bordeaux company designs, manufactures and assembles its batteries in France. It promises repairable batteries, with in particular the replacement of defective cells.
The engine is entrusted to Chinese Ananda. Engine in the rear wheel developing 48V/250w providing up to 50 nm of torque. At the sight of the technical characteristics of the mill, you will probably have to be strong to fade from the urban jungle that the bike is loaded to block or not. Jacques, former Valéo, might have liked to equip his bikes by having his former colleagues work (yes he went to Valéo), the public prize around the € 2,000 would have been very difficult to hold.
Available, soon
The bikes offered by Gaya have a good boil, the aluminum frame is quite properly welded by their Asian factory (they are assembled in Czechia). They offer interesting solutions such as the telescopic seatpost, actionable with a controller located under the saddle.
The pre-orders of the first 400 units, delivered in September, are made “50% by women, 50% by men” according to Jacques. The company aims to sell in 2022, 1400 units. Inspiration in terms of distribution, business model comes “Black bikes offered by Vanmoof or Cowboy. We simply want to offer bikes better thought of for families in pop and tangy colors“(it is still Jacques who says it).
A priori
Yes I drank a cool beer, yes the welcome was fresh and enthusiastic. Yes the languages of these brands are annoying. Even Jacques’ first words during the interview “We offer urban, family bikes, activists“made me fear the worst. And yes I can’t help but ask “How the Gaya bikes are activists ?”” The answer is like this: “Because our bikes are easy to repair, safe and modular“(Jacques describes, in my opinion, the qualities of any bike, militant or not).
Nevertheless, we want to believe it. Price positioning seems fair. Design and equipment proposals are exciting. We sincerely wish Jacques, Amélie, their teams, to succeed in their business. Parisian readers, we invite you to go to the workshop, 93 quai de Valmy (you will end up knowing it). The others, you can take a look here, on the brand’s website, to start.
1 Edit of 06/27/2022. The initial commentary indicated as follows “160kg of total authorized load weight. On paper, it’s good. In real life, calculate. Already there are 22kg of bicycle, there are 138 kg of remaining load. In my case and my quintal (bare (and I rarely pedal naked. The English do it, sometimes (attention explained happy with naturist cyclists)), I have to find myself a wife who weighs 38kg maximum. It’s skinny anyway“”. The brand wishes to provide this clarification on 06/27/22 : “Our bike has an authorized total load of 185 kg. The information transmitted relates to the payload which is 160 kg. Consequently, if we resume the demonstration: the total load authorized = 185 kg – 2 kg of battery – 23 kg of bicycle = 160kg“”. So if we resume the initial demonstration, always with my quintal, I can have a passenger, or a passenger of 60kg, if we are both naked (which rarely happens to us, on a bicycle).
