The two new Fords

Thanks to an ultra-fast recharge, this Ford will be able to travel more than 200 km in less than 10 minutes. The basic price has not been revealed, but the company talks about an “affordable” model.

It is likely that the two new Fords will be designed on a brand new platform which will be unveiled in 2025 and which will integrate an advanced architecture capable of taking charge of the Autonomous level 3 driving.

It remains to be seen whether the models will also arrive on the old continent or if the SUV will only be intended for customers of the United States and Canada.

Raw materials

In the meantime, to support the increase in production in the coming years, Ford has signed a certain number of important agreements. One of them is that concluded with Albermarle, which will provide the American company 100,000 tonnes of lithium extracted in the United States or in “partners” countries in order to meet the requirements necessary to access the incentives of the law on inflation reduction (Inflation Reduction ACT).

The agreement will be operational between 2026 and 2030 and will build 3 million units. It is also advisable to mention the five -year contract signed with Compass Minerals, the 11 -year contract with Nemaska ​​Lithium, the one who will start in 2025 with EnergySource Materials and, finally, the agreement with the Chilean SQM. In short, Ford is really ready to move on to business.
