Ink is an important element in the total cost of a printer, however too often overlooked when buying. Manufacturers have been taking advantage of it for a long time thanks to a particular economic model: the famous Business Model printers. The principle is simple: we attract the customer with a product sold at a very attractive price, even if it means sacrificing its margins, while catching up on consumables sold at prices of gold. Some manufacturers even block the use of unofficial cartridges to protect this juicy market.

In this context, it may be difficult to predict the total cost of a printer, especially since the price of cartridges in resellers is likely to evolve over time. Epson nevertheless offers packages that allow this cost to be better.

ReadyPrint Go: Notifications not to end up dry

Readyink, who has become Readyprint Go, is a fairly simple service. If they wish, owners of compatible printers can receive notifications when a cartridge is soon empty. In one click, they can then order the ink in question. This simplicity obviously has a price: ink is purchased in Epson, while some resellers can offer the same reference to lower prices.

ReadyPrint Flex: Ink by subscription

Like HP Instant Ink, Epson Readyprint Flex is an ink ink service. This system still requires anticipating the number of pages that we want to print per month to set a choice between the three formulas (30, 50 or 100 pages per month). Ink restocks are automatic, the printer according to the ink level to determine the shipments. However, this means that the subscriber will not find the ink necessary every month to print “x” pages in his mailbox. Thus, we do not subscribe to an ink volume allowing to print “x” pages per month, but to a volume of printing limited to “x” pages per month. The consistency of the printing volume over the months can therefore have a significant impact on the cost on the expected page. Unused pages can nevertheless be transferred for two months. On the contrary, if you exceed the volume provided by your package, each additional page is billed 10 euro cents. It is possible to go from one supply formula to another at any time.

For the package with the largest volume (100 pages per month for € 4.99), the cost on page is around 5 euro cents by printing the exact volume of pages planned. If we take the example of an Epson Expression Home XP-3100 compatible with this service, this figure is four times lower than the cost of the printer page with cartridges purchased from Epson (20.6 cents Euro).

Epson Readyprint: This subscription allows you to forget the ink cartridge chore

To end the ink failures, Epson launches a series of printer subscriptions. These different packages allow you to control the number of pages you print per month and have ink delivered before falling short.

Who never ended up in front of an empty printer when he had very important and very urgent documents to print ? Without forgetting the too long minutes to have to verify that this or that ink cartridge is compatible with its printer. All these odious situations, Epson wants to transform them into bad memories thanks to his new subscription formulas.

The manufacturer allows you to receive ink bottles in your mailbox as soon as it is necessary, without any action from you. Whether or not you have an Epson printer, and whatever your printing needs, the different subscription formulas adapt to any type of profile. Epson offers a practical offer here, which should help you be more eco -responsible for the management of your prints. Above all, these subscriptions are without obligation.

Which formula to choose ?

Epson Readyprint Flex, a subscription that adapts to your needs

Because yes, the Epson Readyprint Flex Account service, via your connected printer, the number of pages you take out monthly (instead of sending a quantity of ink that limits the number of prints).

The advantage is that you can juggle between the different formulas according to your printing needs. Better still, if you only use 70 pages on the 100 -page subscription for example, you can transfer the remaining pages over the following two months of your subscription. Likewise, if you need to print one or two additional pages to your quota, no need to go for the upper (and therefore more expensive) formula since each sheet is billed 10 additional cents.

Epson Readyprint Ecotank, the most complete with integrated printer

The Epson Readyprint Ecotank solution goes further than the Readyprint Flex formula since it spares you the search for a printer compatible with the service. Indeed, Epson provides you with an ecotank machine with ink tanks, in addition to the regular delivery of ink bottles.

To take advantage of service, and in addition to the subscription, it is therefore necessary to pay an initial payment of a minimum amount of 79.99 euros. Several printers are available, namely: an Ecotank and-2750u multifunction, an Ecotank and-4750u multifunction with document charger and a monochrome ecotank and-m1170u (for black and white prints). This is a real turnkey offer.

For the rest, the engagement works as for Redyprint Flex. You can choose between three quantities of print: 300 and 500 pages per month or an unlimited number. The cost of the subscription oscillates between 6.99 euros and 14.99 euros monthly depending on the number of prints.
