Important information on free trial

Free trial characters can be transferred to the full game.

1. Game installation
   First, install the Final Fantasy XIV client on your PlayStation®5 | PlayStation®4.
   1. Software selection
      Look for Final Fantasy XIV on the PlayStation Store ™, then select the free trial Final Fantasy XIV.
   2. Customer installation
      The installation will start automatically at the end of the download.
2. Game procedures
   When the software is installed, start it and follow the instructions on the screen. You are now ready to play.
   1. Select Final Fantasy XIV displayed on the home screen.
   2. Read the software license contract carefully and click on “Accept” if you accept the terms. The FFXIV customer will then open.
   3. Select “I have an Enix square account” and enter the information from the Square Enix account that you created for the free trial.
   4. Please read the user contract and take the next step after learning about its terms.
   5. Confirm the details of the Final Fantasy XIV service account to create as well as the warning about the free trial, and then click on “Next”.
   6. This finalizes the contract for the free trial. Click on “Play” to apply the last update. After installing the update, click “Play” again to start the game screen.
3. Start the game
   You can now play Final Fantasy XIV.

1. Download the game
   First, download the Final Fantasy XIV client to your computer.

2. Game installation
   Install the customer on your computer after downloading it.
   1. Facility
      Double-click the downloaded file “FFXIVSETUP_FT.ex “with your mouse to start the customer.
   2. Select your region/language
      When the region/language selection screen appears, choose the language you want to use for installation and in the game. By default, it will be the same as the region/language of your Windows® operating system.
      ※ By installing the software, be sure to use an administrator account.
      ※ If you choose another language than that your operating system, the text may not be displayed properly during installation.
   3. Note on other applications/software installed
      Please read the screen instructions carefully, as they contain information you need to be informed to install the software. If everything is right, click on “Next”.
   4. Select the installation location
      Select where you want to install the data from the game. If you want to change the installation location, select “Browse” and choose the installation folder. When you have finished your selections, click on “Next”.

      ※ You must have at least 2 GB of free space on the disk including the my documents file.
      ※ You cannot use double -byte characters such as Kanji, Hiragana or Katakana in the Destination folder.
   5. Start the file copy procedure
      This is the final stage of confirmation of the installation. Check the installation location and if there is no problem, click “Next”. The copy of the files will start then.
   6. Finish installation
      Click on “Finish” to complete the installation. If you want to create a shortcut on the desktop, check the box “Create a shortcut on the desk”.

   1. Download the game
      First, download the Final Fantasy XIV client to your Mac system.
   2. Game installation
      Install the customer in your apps folder after downloading it.

      A free connection campaign

      And as good news never comes alone, Square Enix also launches a new free connection campaign over time. From March 27 to May 8, 2023 at 4:59 p.m, It will be possible to play FF14 without subscription, but only for four days from the first connection. If you have taken a break, it’s time or never to plunge back into the game. To take advantage of it, you must fulfill three conditions:

      • Have at least one account on which the commercial version of Final Fantasy 14 is recorded
      • Have no service account with an active subscription
      • Not having subscribed to a subscription for at least 30 days

      For the rest just connect to your FF14 account with its username and password. The free offer will then start automatically.
