A few months ago, Citroën presented friends, his new (all) small electric car, accessible without a license and at a rate of less than 20 €/month. A car designed for urban trips, with a 2.41 meter length format and 1.52 meters in height, which allows it to slip into the narrowest parking spaces. Citroën Plus’s friend in 2022 ?

At the beginning of 2022, the Citroën brand discreetly proceeded to a small price change concerning its electric mini-car. Indeed, the friend was so far displayed from 6,990 euros on the brand’s official website, but this is no longer the case, since it is necessary to agree to pay 7,390 euros to make it ‘acquisition.

Obviously, the increase is relative, but it still involves crossing the course of “7,000 euros”, which can have a small impact on sales. On this subject, Citroën promises that the girlfriend is a success, even if the manufacturer imposes an expectation of two to three months to honor each order. Indeed, the production of the group is still and always affected hard by the shortage of components.

Of course, if the little Citroën Ami is much more affordable than a real electric car (like the Dacia Spring for example), it is mainly because it is an accessible model from 14 years old. An electric car without a license therefore, which is also intended to be more affordable than a car without thermal license, whose price generally exceeds 10,000 euros.

Let us recall in passing that the little Citroën Friend did not escape last year from a recall campaign, with concerns detected in terms of the waterproofing of the vehicle, but also at the level of certain safety equipment, such as the system of Braking or opening openings/closings. Note that Citroën has also just formalized the cessation of production of the C1 in its Czech factory in Kolin, to focus on the friend and the C3.

Many copies of the Citroën Friend Buggy limited series are offered more than twice their price on the Internet. Scandalous.

On June 21, Citroën launched the limited series Ami Buggy. Nothing very rocker since it is simply a disguised citroën friend, without any technical change. Yet the 50 copies were all sold in less than 18 minutes despite the 2.400 euros more compared to a “standard” version. Now, we see several classified ads flourish on the internet with prices that can be twice higher at the initial rate.

You have to believe that among the clever little ones who were in front of their computer on June 21, there were some speculators. Those hope to make a beautiful more value by selling their friend Buggy. We then end up with announcements at 17.900, 19.990 and even up to 25.700 euros. One wonders who will be the craziest between the one who hopes to sell it at this price where the one could buy it.

A bit of patience

The advice that we can then give you is to be patient. Citroën is not fooled and has seen the craze caused by its electric quadricycle without a license. It is a safe bet that production is relaunched soon. Consequently, the friend displays a weight of 482 kg empty, or 562 kg in working order.

Seven versions exist in the catalog, including the basic “friend”. Four Gray, Blue, Orange and Khaki packs complete the offer, as well as two “pop” and “vibe” packs.
