Block phone numbers, contacts and emails on your iPhone or iPad
You can block phone numbers, contacts and email addresses on your device. You can also filter iMessages from unknown shippers or report any unwanted or not requested iMessage (SPAM).
Block a phone number, contact or email address
To block phone numbers, contacts and email addresses, you can proceed in different ways.
Phone
In the phone app, touch recents, then touch the info button next to the phone number or the contact name you want to block. Scroll down the screen, then touch it block this correspondent.
Facetime
In the FaceTime app, touch the info button next to the phone number, the name of the contact or the email address you want to block. Scroll down the screen, then touch it block this correspondent.
Messages

- Add the number or email address you want to block your contacts.

- Select the contact to block.
The contact or phone number you have blocked can still leave you a voice message, but you will not receive any notification. When you block an e-mail address in the mail app, messages from it are redirected to the Corbeille folder. E-mail address blocking is applied to all of your Apple devices.

To display the phone numbers, contacts and email addresses that you blocked in the phone, facetime, messages or email app:
Phone
Access settings> phone, then touch blocked contacts to display the list.
Facetime
Access Settings> FaceTime. Under calls, touch blocked contacts.
Messages
Access Settings> Messages. Under SMS/MMS, touch blocked contacts.
Access Settings> Mail. Under discussion, touch blocked.
Filter messages whose sender is unknown
An option also allows you to filter messages whose sender does not appear in your contact list.
To filter messages, go to settings> messages, scroll down the screen, then activate the Filter the unknown shipments.
In messages, touch filters, then touch unknown shippers. You will not receive any notifications for these messages.
Report unsolicited messages (spam) in the App Messages
You can report any unwanted iMessage (spam) from the App Messages. If you receive an iMessage from a person who is not recorded in your contacts, an unwanted link is displayed under the message.
Tap unwanted, then select Delete and report. Messages transfer the sender information to Apple, as well as the message, and delete the latter.
The reporting of an unwanted message does not prevent its sender from sending another message. If you do not wish to receive your messages, you must block this contact.
