How far can really travel an Audi Q4 e-tron whose battery is completely busy ? To find out, we sent our test pilot on a mission. He has in -depth the capacities of this electric SUV, both in town and on the highway.

What is the real autonomy of
Audi Q4 E-Tron 40 (82 kWh) ?

Test conditions

We took the steering wheel in daily traffic, both in the villages and on the main regional axes and the highways. During the first trip of the test, air conditioning and heating were cut. Only the heating of the seat operated occasionally during these journeys. During our highway test, we did not use any form of heating (not even for the seat) or air conditioning.

Combination of journeys on highway and town

Start of the test: Monday August 23, 2021 at 1:00:00 p.m

• At the time of departure, the battery is 100 % loaded and indicates an autonomy of 508 kilometers.

End of the test: Friday August 27, 2021 at 12:58

• At that time, we have traveled exactly 540 kilometers and the battery indicates a remaining autonomy of 25 kilometers (= 4.5 %).
• With a loaded battery, we would therefore have traveled a total of 565 kilometers. This is 57 kilometers more than the 508 kilometers autonomy announced at the start of this test.
