The modular hub of the security system serves as central control and offers integrated functions such as a mermaid, a movement and smoke/co, as well as a integrated backlit keyboard for day and night management. Apple, Google, Amazon, etc. all left on the adoption of this protocol. It is therefore without surprise that Arlo announced also to join this standard. If for many manufacturers it involves a simple firmware update, we do not yet know how to do Arlo will do, or what products will be concerned. At the same time, Matter has been late: the initial schedule provided for the development of the development kit and the product certification program for the end of 2021, finally postponed to the end of the first half 2022. The first products will therefore not be available right away, but it is interesting to see that many manufacturers have announced their compatibility with Matter during this !
