Already
“The worst aspect of fame ? Paparazzi ! In Cannes, with Jean, we spent two days to avoid them. Five minutes before our arrival at the airport, they were Already there ! It’s really painful, you can’t even scratch your buttocks on the beach !”” Alexandra Lamy
already
We will always write and invariably already. The expression is an adverbial phrase, that is to say a series of frozen and invariable words equivalent to an adverb. Its spelling will therefore always be the same, and it will simply be impossible to write sleeps and already or already dores and already. Ores will always include a -S, the two accents will of course appear the -e and the -a already, and the expression will not take any lines of union. Exit therefore the D’Ores-et-Déjà !
When to use ?
The expression of already can be used both in writing and orally. It means now, now. This expression is used in particular to signify a person the possibility of performing a task, a mission or an action immediately, without further ado. It indicates to its recipient that the latter can act immediately and without procrastination. It also indicates that an action has already been accomplished. For example, we can say (or write): you can already start revising for your exam or she has already realized all her youthful dreams.
What is the synonym of already ?
Like any adverbial phrase, the expression of already can be replaced by a single adverb. We can therefore replace already per now, now or now. It will also be possible to opt for other synonyms such as now or at the same time. That said, other expressions can also be used to replace the adverbial phrase already: it will be for example quite possible to say without further delay, without further delay, now or even immediately.
