The idea for the editor was to develop a functionality already available in beta version: automatic transcription. Concretely, based on the automatic transcription of sentences pronounced in the video, Adobe Premiere Pro will allow the editors to drastically review their way of editing the sequences.

Thus, by selecting a sentence of the transcription and by dragging it to the timeline, the editors will be able to add only the part of the video during which this sentence is pronounced. The transcription will also display the silences – indicated “[…]” – and thus allow them to delete them more quickly from the final sequence. Furthermore, if the video sequence adapts according to the elements deleted in the transcription, this is also the case in the other direction, with a transcription that adapts to the volley according to the elements deleted in the video stream.

Another novelty highlighted by Adobe: automatic subtitles.
